My last camera was an automatic point-and-shoot. It took VGA-quality photos that looked good, but just on the computer. Cameras with more features cost much more. So, I was pleasantly surprised to discover this inexpensive digital camera’s quality and options. It provides superb images and lots of feature choices. It is about the size of my hand or a small mobile phone, so it is easy to bring. The main screen displays icons showing at a glance which options you selected. I set mine at auto for most. Here are some of the features that I find especially useful: • Selecting image resolution. The highest choice of resolutions is 8608x6456. That is 56 Mb per photo, with an advertised max of 48 Megapixels.! • Selecting the level of compression: normal, fine, and superfine. • The self-timer allows me to be in the family portrait. • The antishake feature • Face detection focuses based on the face. • White balance (for color correction for florescent versa outdoors) • Level of Sharpness Features that I likely will not use include: • Create color effects within the camera, such as sepia or monochrome, as I usually do on the computer. • Multisnap (particularly good for sports or other action) is something that I do not expect to need. • A second screen on the front for those who like to take selfies. Here are some things to issues to consider: • To download photos, you need to open it to get to the USB port. You need a decent cable that can transfer data, not just a cheap one used solely for charging. • Don’t lose the manual! There are lots of options. I wish the seller would put a link to download the user manual. • The handy size of the camera means the buttons are small. But the tiny words it shows are for people with good vision. I did not test it underwater (snorkeling) or its claim to self-float. This camera is not suitable for scuba diving. Also, do not let the image quality shown in my photo dissuade you. Amazon will likely convert it to a lower resolution.

Bought this as one of two underwater cameras that my family took with us to Bermuda. We wanted something that we could take with us to our snorkeling excursions and not worry too much about losing or damaging (like our phones). This camera worked great. Took high quality pictures and videos both in and out of water. Also has a really cool front view screen that make selfies much easier. Build quality feels pretty good, felt solid in our hands but not heavy at all to carry around.

I purchased this camera to take pictures in the water while on vacation. Charged the battery prior to leaving and followed the instructions in the manual. The battery died about an hour into our trip, so we missed out on many pictures from the first day. Tried to recharge the battery back in the hotel, but the battery wouldn't take a charge. We ended up purchasing one of those waterproof phone cases. Should have done that in the first place, but I didn't want to risk losing the phone in the water. The camera takes ok pictures of you get it to focus right. Not worth the trouble, though.

Overall excellent camera with tons of features at a very affordable price. The menu is very intuitive and doesn't get overly complicated. The extra front facing LCD is great for taking selfies as you can see exactly what is in the frame before you take the photo. The camera feels rugged and perfect for taking on outdoor adventures and family vacations. No worrying about it getting damaged so you can focus on having fun with friends and family. I got this for an upcoming snorkeling trip I have planned, so while I wasn't able to fully test the waterproofness of the camera, I did leave it in a bucket of water for a full day before taking these photos. There seems to be no issues, so I'm happy with the waterproof rating.

I used it 3 times before it leaked and got foggy inside the camera and lens. I used it in freshwater only, and except for 1 instance when it was 4 inches below the surface, it was never submerged. I bought an underwater camera to be safe around the water and getting splashed.

Tested in the sink. Waterproof and it floats. The door was easy enough when following the directions. Photos look good! Not professional quality but better than the Polaroids we used to turn in after vacation at the rite aid. :)

Don't buy! This lasted just about a month. Then battery stopped charging. Bought a new battery and it won't charge either. Gave this as a gift to someone and it's embarrassing its useless. Attempted to contact support and it's nonexistent.
