cheap and cheerful, great colour
These are great if you have the kind of hanging basket that has closer together bars on the outside, or wicker or willow type ones. Unfortunately my baskets have wide apart iron bars so I has to staple some of the flaps together so they wouldn't flop through the spaces.They're great for the price and the colour makes a nice change from brown, anyway.I got four of these and noticed that the horizontal cuts, while great for draining, would also be handy for trailing herbs or filler plants through. Next time I will think this out and try a bit of architectural planning instead of just bunging two plugs and a filler in the top. I'll definitely buy these again.I do like the way they look in the garden against the fence, as my fence is a reddish colour and the green looks lovely against it. Of course I hope the flowers will obscure this in a few weeks but until then it doesn't clash badly with my fencing. I will probably buy a size up though, as then the flaps will overlap better and there won't be a struggle to keep it all inside the basket.
