Bought this to replace another one from a different retailer which was useless. This one works fine and worth the bit extra in money.

The clock looks fine but does not work very well the bird songs do not work half the time and the clock keeps stopping does not keep good time I will be returning it

I thought that thr bird under each hour would chirp the song of that bird but I doesn't. On any hour of the day, a random bird cheaps/sings (pretty loudly) which is useful when you're in another room, but in the room you are in at the time the hour strikes, you jump out of your skin at the volume. Don't have it in a bedroom unless you are severely hard of hearing or can sleep through the sound of a marching band. It does sound pretty 'tinny' for the price of the clock, when thr bird sings, but at least my child will get to know some bird calls which we do not have in our garden. It would be better if the bird call matched the picture of the bird printed under each hour, then a person can easily identify the songs of the bird they do not currently know. I feel let down that we have to research the bird call ourselves in order to identify which call is on what hour which is a bit of a pity. I bought it to be educational for my child but it hasn't worked re: bird song calls. The images of the birds are nice. Overall we like it, aside from the aforementioned points.

Exactly what I thought it would be

IMPORTANT: Don’t make the mistake I did and disregard the instructions before setting to your current time. My main gripe is the instructions are sooo tiny! If you’re struggling to read: Set the clock to 5:50 BEFORE putting batteries in. Then, slowly adjust to current time - this means the birdsong will match with the pics and it won’t be chattering away all through the night! For only £9.99 I wasn’t expecting an amazing quality clock, or amazing quality sounds, but they’re pretty decent - it’s a fun novelty item and a fun way to learn bird songs!
