So I have 2 dogs, a 17lb chihuahua mix and then a Shepherd mix that is still a puppy and 50lbs. I was concerned that the Shepherd was going to sink it or wouldn't want to go on it, he loves the water, but he is a bit of a scrardy cat. I had to put him on the float for the first couple of times, but then he saw there was nothing to be afraid of, so he would jump on and off of it no problem, and of course loves floating around on it as well so he can be close to me in the pool. Very thick plastic, would hold a much larger dog too. My only concern is that after a couple of days, it needed some more air, but that is common with any inflatable. Buy with confidence!

Not very sturdy

I got this float for our 14-month old Golden Retriever that loves the pool. This float is cute and easy to inflate; however, the size is smaller than I thought. Our dog can fit on it, but just barely. He isn't supported as well due to the smaller size. On a positive note, my grandkids seem to enjoy it.

The thickness of the material on this is definitely heavy duty. Nice size and the width makes it fairly stable in water compared to some human floats. 😂 if you know … you know… definitely recommend for humans and critters.

Yes, this is a very niche item, but we used this with our friends' golden retriever puppy who had an absolute blast with it. It held up very well to lots of the usual puppy rambunctiousness (and rambunctiousness of the human pup type as well). Overall I was very impressed with the sturdiness!
