I was a little hesitant about getting this but I used it yesterday and was able to vacuum my whole house with one battery charge!! My old dying battery would only work for 5 mins. This is the real thing.

This replacement battery was way way way better than the last replacement battery. This one lasts forever and fits and works perfectly!!!!

Works great on my v8. Hopefully give my old machine two more years of use before switching to the newer model

We've had our vacuum cleaner for quite a while now, and the battery was starting to get tired (at max suction the battery died in less than a minute). As it was probably past due for changing the pre and post-filters, this kit seemed like a good deal.So far I'm very happy with this product. The battery pack fit my Dyson SV10 perfectly. A combination of the new battery back, the two new filters, and a little compressor air has given our stick vacuum new life. I'm not sure that the suction was ever as good as it is now. We've seen a dramatic improvement.About the Installation:- Taking off and putting back on the dust collection cup was a little tricky. There is a thumb tab that you press to release it so you can pull it off. When putting it back on you have to line the track up just right. Also. Leave the bottom of the cup open while, don't close it before trying to put it back in place..- The three screw positions for the battery pack were easy to get at, and the provided screwdriver fit them nicely.- I took the time to blow out the fine dust from the head unit with a compressor (could probably use canned air as well) and rinse out the collection cup. You'd be surprised how much fine dust gets in there.Other things to consider:- Keep in mind that your vacuum model is shown on the bottom of the original battery pack. Take a picture of it before recycling the battery pack.- Give it a good charge before use. Took an hour or two to get up to full charge.- One ding: the charger cable that came with a vacuum is a very tight fit in this new battery back. Even with everything aligned perfectly. Be careful putting the vacuum into (and taking it out of) the wall charger. I hope over time that it does not damage the cable.
