As this product is cold pressed pure with nothing added it's fit for human consumption too. It's a good way to get more omega 3 into your diet. The taste isn't sweet nor should it be. Might be sweet on the day it's pressed however that changes to a bitter taste quite quickly. I'm also consuming more than you would give to a house as I'm doing keto diet via hual black edition power. So an all liquid diet mostly, sometimes I treat myself to cheese and Tuna, not at the same time 😜. I have a high energy demand 100g of fat plus 80g of hual powder 3 times a day. Sometimes even more fat to keep me in ketosis. I start the day on cold pressed coconut oil warm with my coffee mixed in. Saves having to blend it as it's sold at room temperature. The last 2 shakes I mix linseed oil with rapeseed oil to get a better balance of oils in my diet. Not sure what dose it but my last 2 shakes I'm feel really good after. So for me at least using large amounts of the oil really agrees with me. Zero cravings for sugar. It's a really cheap way of doing a keto diet. 75% of my calories come from fat, 1 third of that is this oil. So humans don't be put off with the other reviews and the bonkers replies to questions unrelated to how they're using it.

Ronseal fence & shed paint. I mix it at 5:1 ratio & apply it using a Wagner fence and decking sprayer. The linseed oil acts as a wick pulling the treatment deeper into the wood and is also an excellent water proofer. It also stops the Ronseal from fading, peeling and cracking away. The linseed oil is applied neat to bird boxes as a water proofer & wood preserver as it is not toxic.

I had a container of linseed oil sitting in the shed after a previous project. In the heat of the last summer the container had gotten gotten kind of icky so I looked around for something to use up the contents. I settled on the wooden side gate. So brush in hand I got stuck in. Loved the way it turned out so started on the side fence. Ran out of oil halfway down the garden. The fence hadn't been treated for years and just slurped up the oil. But the timber looked so good I had to finish the job. So bought this oil and finished that fence then the other side fence. The fence panels were shrunken and barely hanging on but after treatment they swelled up and look almost like new fence panels newly treated. All the ridges and knots are highlighted. Really good job. I now have to decide if I will continue treating regularly with linseed oil or paint the panels and forget them for years again. I'm veering toward the regular linseed use because I love the smell and my hands were so soft after use and it's not that expensive. Just takes time. Also, I have half a container of oil that needs to be used before it gets icky again.
