After living with the ASUS TUF Gaming AX6000 for over 14 months, I can confidently say this is a truly wonderful device that lives up to its name and its promise of high-performance networking. From the moment I set it up, it has proven to be a reliable and powerful core for my home network, handling everything from daily browsing and video streaming to intense online gaming without a single hiccup. The standout feature of this router is undoubtedly its performance. The speeds are consistently high across all aspects of its operation. Whether I'm on the 5 GHz band downloading large files or connected to the 2.4 GHz band for smart home devices, the throughput is exceptional. Great router. Easy to add to my ASUS mesh network. (5 stars) However, after just 9 months the wall power adapter failed. (1 star). So far support has answered the phone and has acknowledged the problem. I will update this review if/when they send a new wall power adapter.

Replaced a 12-year old router. Noticeably faster, and zero problems! Signal strength adequate for over 300 feet away! We use just the basic features, but there are many other very nice features available.

This router was a big disappointment. The coverage in the 5 GHz band was terrible in my 2000 sf ranch home. I had persistent connectivity issues consisting of dropped connections and poor throughput. The 2.4 GHz band was better but not much. I purchased this router based upon the Consumer Reports rating - it was the highest rated non-mesh router they has reviewed to date. Lately I have seriously begun to question the reliability and thoroughness of Consumer Reports ratings based upon this product review and other products that I have purchased based upon their ratings. I was too late to return this router as I had thought there might be an issue with my connected devices. However, I finally decided to purchase a TP-Link AX1800 that was $55 on Amazon vs the $165 I paid for the ASUS router. Both are WiFi 6 routers. The TP-Link router has been excellent. Easy set up with great range and connectivity in both the 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz bands.

The ideal Home or Small Business Router with built in security. Have purchased and or recommended these ASUS Routers to many home users or small businesses and a must to protect beyond the ISP Modem/Routers.

Easy setup. From opening the box to fully operational was maybe 30 minutes. 2.4 and 5ghz, IPv6, SSID, everything!!! Replaced a high dollar "best in the business" router at half the cost and it works 10 times better. Hardwired to desktop on old router was max speeds of 925+/-, this bad boy 1450 all day long with no other system or hardware changes. 2000 SF house and in the furthest location from the router with multiple walls between me and the router, I am still getting over 600mps wifi transfer on my phone. So plenty of range and wifi speed. There are solid reasons why this is a consumer reports high point winner.

Absolutely crushed by how awful this router and experience ended up being. I have been an ASUS fan for years, recommend to clients at work, etc. I upgraded to this router because it was the top-rated device on consumer reports and the ASUS brand. After about 7 months, the speed for both frequencies became erratic and nearly impossible to use (speed always slow, kept dropping to 0). ASUS tech support was unreachable by phone, which kept dropping the call while on hold, so I was stuck with the chat support as they strung me along with endless troubleshooting that went nowhere until I insisted on a replacement. They have continued, for weeks, to string me along, sending me to different reps and managers, all telling me to continue waiting "1 to 2 business days" and then never contacting me in any form until I contact them again. I still, after over a month of no internet, have yet to receive any replacement. I gave up and bought a new device and ASUS says they "can't" give me a refund. I cannot overstate how disappointed I am in this company and product; I cannot foresee purchasing from ASUS again after this awful experience.
