Well, let's start by saying I want mosquitoes dead! This is a partial step in that process. Left in the right spot, it will attract and kill juveniles (some of which may be flies that bite). I've researched how to rid my life of mosquitos. It's not simple.I live in FL, and they just come out of nowhere even when you are inside a screened porch and have smacked 15 of them on your body.So, to speak up about this device. It is kinda perfect in the fact that it works, it's portable, light weight, and rechargeable.IT WILL NOT FIX A MOSQUITO PROBLEM!It will help. Keep it away from your sitting area (because they want you more than the light). Leave it on well before you go outside so it can be the better distraction. And pick your timing for the best results. Daybreak, dusk... Set it up just before and let it help. When you do go outside, it'll have bought you some time and maybe killed a few pests before they could smell you.The price was fair for all it's worth. It's not made any better than other UV bug lights, so it's inferior to more expensive mosquitoe traps or killers. It just doesn't have the right tech in it for those blood sucking dinosaurs!!I will say that I've never had to wash it yet, but it claims to be waterproof (turned off) and the included brush works well to clear the bugs off of the wires. Maybe it could've been softer and thinner (brush) but it works.Bottom line: Worth the price for portability. Does attract bugs (not what you hope for any more than other UV bug zappers). Simple to maintain and clean. Can be taken anywhere. Knowing what I know about mosquitoes, I'd buy this again! There's no fault I can find with it.

I live in a humid coastal area and fruit flies are a regular bother every summer! I have become an expert in all the products and home remedies. This does such a good job! I ordered one for inside my house and then I took it out to my greenhouse to get other pests and had to order a second one for inside. I haven’t had them a long time but they are working wonderfully and it is pretty easy to brush the dead bugs off.I have used it unplugged and plugged in.

Really wanted a cordless portable bug zapper as I spend time front and back yard through the day, and the mosquitos have been bad. Used it one night so far and it did pretty good, zapped 5 mosquitos in the short time I was outside. Seems sturdy and safe, not too big or bulky, has an auto on button(light sensitive) as well as just a regular on/off button, and three light setting....one is purple, the other two are a dim and bright white

We can't sit outside without being bothered by flies and this light did NOTHING, absolutely nothing to help! We have had it on different light colors, day and night, an hour at a time and after 4 days of trying, both inside and out, it hasn't killed one freaking fly. What a waste of money. You're better off with an old fashioned fly swatter. I'm not sure what bugs these other people are killing with their lights.... but it's not flies! This product is only good as a night light. Again, don't waste your money. If I could, I'd give it negative stars, but sadly, that's not an option.

I fell in love with this bug zapper after the first charge. It worked great zapping many bugs outside the front door. Unfortunately it has never charged again. The charging light remained red and never turned to green again. I have it plugged in all the time but I cant tell if its charging.

You read that right folks, I bought this zapper to fend off the winged parasitic denizens that love to feed on you during the hot summer nights in Florida. And let me tell you did this little thing delivered on its promise. It was popping and frying those evil bugs like my late great-great gram frying chicken in the kitchen. None of the bugs could resist it's purple glow and was met with a swift death. Used it during a camping trip with friends and it definitely kept the bug population down. I may have to get another one for future trips, as you see by the pics it really works. Don't delay, buy one or two today! You won't be disappointed!

Since it's portable and takes up little space, it's a winner. Works great.
