Works Well with Fine Dust-- No More Dust Clouds!
I had never heard of this before I saw it pop up, so I had doubts about how effective it'd be. More below, but the short story is that this does make a noticeable difference with fine dust while sweeping.I recently had a bunch of work done in my unfinished basement and had dust (mostly drywall dust) everywhere. No matter how much I sweep, there are still little puffs of dust every time I push the broom along.I sprinkled this like a blue collared Salt Bae around the floor and then swept. I don't think that this magically pulls any more dust and debris off of the floor, but it greatly reduces the little dust clouds while sweeping and keeps fine dust from sneaking past the broom bristles. Once you sweep a bit of this stuff, it forms a little mound or berm in front of the broom. I think that's the magic-- it's that mound that grabs the fine dust and keeps the clouds from forming and also forms a barrier to keep the fine dust from sneaking past your bristles and leaving streaks behind the broom. This is a little annoying to use-- it is an extra step and the sand grains are fine enough they get in your fingernails. If you're sweeping larger bits or something that's not dusty, don't bother using this. If you're sweeping up fine dust that makes the room foggy as you go along, then absolutely use this first and you'll be impressed with how much it cuts down the dust clouds.

Made more mess than cleanup
If your concrete has exposed aggregate then this is not the solution for you. It gets in to all the lines and is nearly impossible to sweep out. It does seem to grab onto dust but I wish it were easier to pick up.

The best find ever!! Needs 1 little tweak!
What my hobby entails is, what can end up being a lot of chalk dust around. And the chalk dust is so difficult to get up because if you just sweep it with a broom, it just moves around or gets in the air and doesn’t really get up. I did some research on what I could use to help stick to the chalk dust and I discovered sweeping compounds. And this has saved my hobby because if I couldn’t find a way to keep my space clean, I wasn’t going to be able to continue my hobby. The only minus to this is the sand Sometimes, even though you don’t see it is still there. So I wish they would put more of something else in it to help make sure that it gets up both the sand and catches the dust. That’s the only reason I gave it a four.

Useful if you are trying to sweep a dusty area (like a garage)
This is surprisingly useful cleaning compound that you sprinkle on your floor prior to sweeping. It helps cling to the dust that is on your floors and sort of binds them. When you sweep, it greatly decreases the amount of dust that goes airborne. This was useful in my garage, which collects dust from outside. Sweeping it out would always leave a trail of dust in the air - this compound really helped limit that.Note - this is really only useful if you have a dust issue. If you sweep and nothing really comes up in the air, then this isn't needed since it's an extra step you have to do, and the compound is pretty gritty and not terribly fun to throw around. If you do have a dust issue though, then definitely give this a try.

Collects dust to sweep up and leaves a nice scent behind without being too overpowering.
Gritty Green Sweeping Compound with Sand – Effective Dust Control on Cement & Unfinished Floors, Grit and Sand Breaks Up Loose Dust for an Even Deeper Clean, Oil Free, Made in USA (8.4 lbs)First impressions: Nice pail of cleaning compound. The sweeping compound is a green sandy substance that smells like sawdust.Installation/setup: Sprinkle on your unfinished floor, sweep around to collect dust. Sweep into a dustpan and dispose.Final thoughts: This works pretty well on my unfinished brick floor in my hobby shop. The floor collects dust from my hobbies and it tends to get in the air while I am cleaning and ends up on any level surface. This compound attracts the dust and keeps it on the floor, easy to sweep up and dispose of. It leaves a nice scent behind without being too overpowering. I like this and I’m glad I got it.⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

So Helpful When Sweeping My Garage Out!
I live in a dry, dusty climate. My garage really suffers because of this. The car leaves plenty of fine particled road grime and there always seems to be so much fine dust when I sweep out the garage.I've always just tried to sweep lowly to kick it up as little as possible and worn a dust mask because otherwise I get black in my nose and so on.This sweeping compound is my new favorite friend! It totally keeps the dust down when I sweep. It means I can sweep faster and also more vigorously without kicking up a crazy amount of dust. That alone makes it worth the cost.
