Garmin 60CSX Series Battery Cover Replacement (Works with All 60 Series Units)

When the battery latch on my Garmin GPSmap 60CSX started cracking, I was worried about it totally breaking, or at the very least, losing waterproofing. Looked on the Garmin website, and did not find a replacement backing available on this older model. So, turned to Amazon. Found this one, and took a chance. This thing is an exact replacement to the original and a perfect fit -- same rubberized sections, waterproof ring, color and fit. Looks great. Hopefully this will keep my good old, reliable 60CSX running for a couple more years!

I take my GPS everywhere. After 5 years and many great adventures, the tab at the bottom of the cover broke, preventing a tight seal for the internals.I asked GARMIN via their website if they had sold spares but they never replied. I am not sure if this is an OEM part or aftermarket - but it fit well and restores the water resistant barrier. A cheap and convenient fix to a well used CSx60!

I suspect this item is a genuine Garmin replacement part (even the molded-in markings on the inside of the cover are identical with those on the original), but if not, the fit and color match are perfect. The price is reasonable, too. I've got to keep that old 60CSx working as long as I can. It's a keeper.

Order two as replacement and backup for the old 60csx cover that broke at the bottom after five years of uses. Arrive in Thailand after reship from US (don't know they they don't ship to Thailand even though a few reseller here though none have this part in Thailand right now). However one of the new cover fit to snuggly for comfort compare to the old cover and could damage the lock hole which is made of plastic. Another is less tight but a little too tight. Hope it will get better with time and usage. Proably not so good QC. Apart from that everything is ok.

I've dropped by Garmin GPSMap 60Cx so many times, but the only part that broke was the batter cover. I found this replacement and ordered it right away. You don't get a color option, so it's the brownish/greyish color of the 60CSX. My 60Cx is the bluish color, so the cover just looks like a car door that's been replaced but not repainted. I really don't care though because it covers the batteries keeping the insides water-free!

I ordered this when the original broke. I received it quickly, and am happy to report that I'm able to use my GPSR again. The replacement works just as good as the original.

When you drop your garmin 60CSX it will likely crack the tab on the bottom of the battery cover. I lived with a cracked cover for a couple of years. This is an easy and cheap fix - go ahead and get one today. You'll never regret the purchase. HINT: To help prevent dropping your 60CSX - loop the lanyard around your belt so that when it slips out of the clip it wont fall to the ground.
