I love this container, it fits perfectly in the cabinet of my van for my clean water storage. The shorter, chubby design means that I have room to arrange water lines without worry. I use this as part of my water system in my van tiny kitchen.

I bought this product for the sole purpose of storing drinking water that I purchase from a refill station at my grocery store. I wanted to avoid the risk of microplastics and nanoplastics that may shed from 5-gallon plastic bottles. I used a flashlight to inspect inside the can when I first received it. No rust or damage was present. I washed it with hot soapy water and then rinsed it with tap water. Then I filled it the first time with drinking water (filtered through reverse osmosis and activated carbon) at my local grocery store refill station. About halfway through drinking the first five-gallon batch of water, we started to notice a metallic taste. We drained the water out of the can and observed rust on the inside, primarily at a weld but some rust spots adjacent to the weld too. The attached picture shows the rusted weld. The product claims "premium 304 stainless steel". 304 stainless steel should not be rusting from contact with drinking water and certainly not during the first contact. I am returning this product. I have already switched to 1-gallon glass jars which seems to work well.

This is a high quality stainless steel water jug. It'll hold about 5 gallons. This arrived free from defects, free from scratches, without dents, and there are no sharp edges. The handles are curved, and they are comfortable to use even when full. They do not cut into your hands at all. The spout will store under the cap, and it has a filter on it. The caps have rubber gaskets in them to prevent leaks. Lastly, there is a small bolt like vent in the opposite side as the spout. Overall I am happy with this. Im not totally sure that this is worth the premium over a plastic jug, but that is up to you. While this looks much nicer, it'll take less abuse than plastic would.

The spout Leaches into your water and. Doesnt seal very well. Water drips out thw threads when you pour it. All of the water tastes like plastuc from the spout.....

Looks nice and is great for extra water while camping or just for emergencies. Easy handle grip. The mesh filter screen and plastic tube are a nice extra. Helpful when refilling smaller bottles. Feels like it's well built and sturdy. There's gaskets to keep the water from leaking out. Also a vent on the top.
