Sony Bravia 9 (65-inch) – Review
⭐ Sony Bravia 9 (65-inch) – Review The Sony Bravia 9 has genuinely impressed me, and it easily stands out as one of the best TVs I’ve used. Here’s my experience after spending time with it: 📺 Picture Quality The picture is the strongest selling point. Sony’s HDR handling is exceptional — highlights are extremely bright without washing out detail, and darker scenes stay rich and controlled. The contrast jumps out immediately, especially in movies with high dynamic range. 🎨 Colour & Motion Colours look natural rather than over-saturated. Skin tones in particular look authentic. Sony’s motion processing is also excellent; fast-moving sports, gaming, and action scenes stay smooth without introducing that artificial “soap opera” look. 🔉 Sound Quality For a TV this slim, the built-in audio is surprisingly good. Dialogue is clear, bass has presence, and the positioning of the speakers gives a sense of depth. You don’t need a soundbar to enjoy it — but pairing one makes it even better. 🎮 Gaming Input lag is low, and 4K 120Hz performance is very responsive. VRR and ALLM work as expected. The picture remains clean even in fast gameplay. 🌟 Brightness & Reflections The Bravia 9 handles bright rooms extremely well. Reflections are controlled, and the panel is bright enough for daytime viewing. HDR movies especially benefit from the high peak brightness. 🛠️ Build Quality & Design Sony’s build feels premium — sturdy stand, clean lines, and a minimalist look. The menu system is fast and easy to navigate. 👍 Final Verdict The Bravia 9 is an outstanding TV with class-leading picture quality, impressive brightness, realistic colour, and strong built-in audio. It’s a premium option, but in terms of image performance and overall experience, it absolutely delivers. ⭐ Overall rating: 4.8 / 5

Its a Sony and that means a lot in daily use
Excellent software interface regularly improved with updates. Great picture and sound quality. The kind of tv you can buy without worrying how long before it goes wrong. Worth the extra cost over cheaper Chinese brands.

Good overall TV
Tv picture is very nice, the only downside for my was the lack of freesat, build wise very solid and the feet are sturdy, sound is a little lack lustre but ok for my needs.

If You Want The Best
I am very pleased with my 55" Sony Bravia 7. It replaced a previous 55" Sony Bravia which was 12 years old. It looks good and is good. The picture is stunning, so bright with realistic colours. Also excellent for watching sports eg football, F1 and and golf. It also upscales old SD channels and some HD to 4K making them far more watchable. Sound is also much improved with far better bass. It's a Google tv with many pre-installed apps some of which are very good. It's easy to set up and if you want the best then well worth the £1150 purchase price.

Sony guts!
Really makes my PS5 games stand out, the Google functions are great, I have a vast library of films waiting for me from digital copies claimed throughout the years! Sounds quality is amazing. Great connectivity

Problems
My first problem is with claiming the included Sony 5 year warranty. I researched this and found that I had to register the tv with Sony and send them an image of the serial number and a sales receipt from Amazon. I sent a copy of the order as there was nothing better that I could find. Sony refused to accept this and asked for a vat receipt which I have asked Amazon to provide. Without a sales receipt that Sony will accept- there is no 5 year warranty included. The second problem concerns the screens inability to cope with reflections (there are YouTube reviews regarding this) from both natural and artificial light, I have adapted my room lighting in order to make viewing acceptable. In a controlled lighting scenario the picture quality is very good.
