Powerful Magnetic Knife Strip, Holder Made in USA (Walnut, 14 inches)

This magnetic strip for my knives is functional and beautiful. I appreciated that they gave you so many different woods to choose from so you could match it to your cabinets.It was very easy to install. I ordered the 12 inch which I knew was just a little bit longer than I needed. It was so easy to trim a little off the ends to make it fit perfectly.I would definitely buy this product again and recommend it to everyone.

Not only does this look much better than a normal metal knife magnet that attaches with adhesive or Velcro, but the magnet is much stronger and all the way through the block. Knives stay put well from end to end on this thing. Easily attached to a cabinet wall with the given screws and is very sturdy in place.

I ordered this and a roll of Velcro tape. I use two strips on the back and voila! I love that this knife rack can hold my heavy set of knives and that I can remove it without harm. Bonus, the wood doesn’t scratch the knives like a metal strip does.

I'm a kitchen knife snob. I have a bunch. This strip holds them all. Mostly steel, some stainless. Stop fussing and just buy this one.

I contemplated buying this for sometime I was concerned that the magnet would not be strong enough to hold my very sharp knives. I wish I had ordered it sooner. The magnet in the knife bar was very powerful, and it looks great. I chose not to use the hardware included I use double sided heavy duty adhesive tape. Great product!

Functions as intended (I dislike vendors who sell crap that doesn't work), I will buy a few more of different sizes for other uses and locations. Plenty of magnets embedded in a nice piece of wood. If people complain that their knives don't stick, it is likely the type of steel the knives are made from. Installs easily but it COULD be better if the mounting screw keyholes were of metal inserts.

First off: just look at the pictures I took of this. I can’t do better than those pictures to explain how beautiful this piece of functional art is. This thing is GORGEOUS.I’m a woodworker, so I’m hard to please with stuff like this. I read the glowing reviews from others about how high quality this was, but I still expected to be disappointed. After all, it’s Amazon, right? Boy was I wrong.The wood they started with is slab-sawn purpleheart, with the annual rings almost parallel to the face. This means that the face will be beautiful and durable, with no steeple grain or other grain runout that could cause the wood to chip out when cutting. It was obviously jointed and planed because it has crisp 90° corners all around. Then it was routed on the back to install the magnets, and some actual quality wood was used to fill in the space behind the magnets (looks like walnut). Then it was sanded down to at least 400 grit, they even put a slight radius on the edges for a smooth feel and look. It’s like someone was making it for themselves and took their time getting it to be perfect.I put some butcher block cream on it (beeswax and mineral oil mix) and it just shines. It feels like silk. Not a catch or mark on the entire piece, even on the back or on the end grain.The magnets are REALLY strong. You wouldn’t want them any stronger. They’d hold up a machete with ease. I did an experiment to see what the magnet strength is and it took almost 4 lbs just to slide a flat blade up or down the face of the knife holder. It takes 2 lbs of force to dislodge a 0.5 lb cleaver pulling it away from the holder from the top of the handle, where you have the most leverage. So it’ll come off when you want it to, but not before. No knife is slipping off of this. And they even went to the trouble of placing an extra magnet outside the screw holes in either side so you could use 100% of its length.This thing is amazing. I’m gonna own this thing forever.10/10, please buy this; you won’t be disappointed. Also it’s made in the U.S.A., so you’re supporting good American jobs.

I absolutely love this magnetic bar for the knives. I was looking for a wood one because the metal ones definitely rust over time. Came neatly packaged and you could absolutely tell it is real wood. The magnet is extremely strong and no knife ever seems to slide down. Even the drill would get pulled towards it. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!!!

I already had a knife board from years ago but now that I have over 20 knives need a second. This new strip does not have the adhesion of my 10 year old one. The older strip is mounted vertically so that my knives are horizontal , if you try to mount knifes the same on this strip they will not remain in position but slip to a 45 degree angle. So relative the my 10 year one, from another company, this new one is only half as magnetic .

This knife bar is very nice. Dark walnut stain. I was hoping to place my knifes horizontally but the magnet isn't strong enough for that. It works well with the knifes vertically hung.

This thing is really lovely, sturdy, with a powerful magnet. It is the best-looking one I've ever seen.
