This pencil box is on-par for the quality of product available today, however, they aren't like I remember them from school. The plastic is thinner than I remember them being when I was a kid. That being said, it will last the school year and I do like that it has a second compartment to keep things separate and organized. The color is pretty. It's completely transparent. They did make the plastic thicker to reinforce the closure areas, so hopefully those will hold up to a first grader. In all I'm happy with this. The price was comparable to others on the market. I hope it lasts the whole year.

Doesn't stay closed just kind of sits shut so if you knock it over everything spills out every time. Honestly its really cheaply made.
