Oh, Amazon, you fickle beast! :) You know, I started this whole laundry saga with the grand intention of acquiring a fancy-schmancy rotary washing line. Visions of perfectly air-dried linens danced in my head. But alas, Amazon, in its infinite wisdom, decided my humble abode was apparently in a no-delivery zone for said rotary lines. "No rotary line for you!" they seemed to declare. Frustration mounted. My laundry piles began to resemble small, fluffy mountains. So, as a desperate, temporary stop-gap, I grudgingly shelled out a few quid for these unassuming screw-in hooks. You know the ones – just simple metal hooks you attach to a garden shed or a sturdy wall. Little did I know, I was about to stumble upon the greatest laundry revelation of my life! Turns out, these little heroes, combined with a cheap-as-chips clothesline, have saved me over a hundred pounds! Yes, you heard that right. A hundred quid! So, thank you, Amazon, for your perplexing delivery policies; you inadvertently made me a genius. I am now officially a ex reformed rotary line devotee. There's simply no need for those elaborate, tangly contraptions anymore. These hooks are absolute titans! I'm talking double loads of washing strung across them, practically defying gravity. My garden shed hasn't collapsed, the wall hasn't crumbled, and the cast iron hasn't snapped under the sheer weight of my family's sartorial needs. It's truly a testament to their understated strength. And let's be honest, with a good breeze, my clothes are drier than a stand-up comedian's wit on a bad night. The best part? I've now got a robust, all-winter solution that doesn't rust, doesn't need folding up and putting away, and most importantly, doesn't tangle into a Gordian knot of wet fabric like those rotary lines are so prone to doing. So, if you're looking for a laundry solution that's ridiculously simple, incredibly effective, and won't break the bank (especially if Amazon decides to play hard-to-get with your preferred delivery), these hooks are your new best friends. I'll take this humble setup over a rotary line any day of the week!

Good sturdy brackets shame no fixings with them

A nice sturdy hook for wall mounting. The holes are just about large enough for M8 screws. The hook is fractionally slightly leaning towards one edge than the other, but nothing to be concerned about for the price. You really wouldn't notice it unless measuring it.
