Excellent, but Takes Time to Lean to Use
The media could not be loaded. The book requires multiple ribbons or book marks to be able to flip to the relevant season or holiday readings to include in the morning and evening prayers.Their are additional prayers closer to the back as well as a liturgical reading calendar. I have include several pictures from various parts of the book to give some sample.I am not Lutheran, but this book is helping me add some formal aspects to my devotional time with God

Fantastic book.
I am so glad I found this. I have been looking for a Lutheran breviary with the Daily Office. The only thing missing from this book is the music. My understanding is that they plan on producing a music version. I don’t know when this will happen, but that is what I would much prefer to have. In the meantime, I use this book along with a couple others to pray the Daily Office and sing the liturgy and hymns.

The Hour has Come for “Sacred Hours”!
The Sacred Hours prayer book is a joy and delight, the best book of its type that I have read thus far. Its publication is an answer to my own prayers, as a Lutheran who has struggled in the past to find a Lutheran/liturgical prayer book that I can easily use and make my own. Thanks be to God, this book exceeds my needs and expectations. I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially those who are seeking a historical/liturgical Christian perspective about prayer. Anyone who desires to pray, but is confused and discouraged, will find great help and consolation here.

A solid attempt that needs a bit of work
1. The print quality of this book is sketchy at best. As you approach the end of the book the ink gets more faint, and some of the saint's names in the Lectionary aren't even readable.2. If you're a woman, you'll probably notice that Reformation women (with the exception of von bora of course) are conspicuously absent. Even the Episcopal Church has recognized the likes of Argula von Grumbuch and Katharina Schutz Zell in their Lectionary, but not the Lutherans evidently. The content is otherwise concise and overall it's more simple to use than Oremus (the older Lutheran breviary). Because it's truncated compared to the older offering it has none of the readings/sermons from the Fathers and Reformers. Also, as mentioned elsewhere, it uses the modern KJV so the English is modern as well.A useful book and worth the price if you're looking to go beyond a simple prayer book and pray the offices in modern English.

Exceptional content, meh production quality
I purchased this book based on watching the review video including Rev Dr Jordan Cooper and Rev Michael Fenn that appeared on the Just & Sinner YouTube channel. I appreciate the scholarship and effort made by Reverend Fenn to bring this material to the traditional, confessional Lutheran community. I also value Rev Fenn’s stated attempt to bring order, in a way that made sense to him and many of his fellow seminarians, to the observation and devotional practice of the daily office. The content is fantastic, well researched, and well executed. I wish that musical notation, modern or medieval, had been included with a discussion or introduction to the Psalter. Reverend Fenn does provide the meter for each psalm which is helpful, but requires additional expertise and work on the part of the reader/practitioner. The only disappointment on my part, is with the production value of the book. I appreciate the need to keep costs under control to make the text available to the widest possible audience, but for myself, I would’ve preferred to pay $20 more for the book and had a higher quality production value. The book was printed on low(er) quality trade paper and the book cover look like it was cut and finished by a fifth grader. I am not returning the book. I feel blessed by the material that is included, particularly if I utilize it in my daily devotions. I would rather have the book in its present form, despite my comments on production value, than not have the book at all. Thank you, Just & Sinner and Weidner Institute for getting behind this publication.

Exactly what I was looking for.
This daily office is easy to use and the layout is really fantastic. It has all the stuff I liked about the 2019 bcp with the addition of commemoration for Lutheran saints.

Perfect for me!
This is the best personal Lutheran breviary I have found for daily prayer. It is organized well, has the services I know and love, and contains wonderful liturgical resources. Would recommend to everyone!
