First of all, this thing really does work very well. It attracts and traps gnats, mosquitoes, and even trapped a house fly that managed to get into our kitchen. I was very happy with the performance while it worked.I would give it 5 stars except:1. The bulb only lasted 6 months, and that was without constant 24/7 use.2. The biggest flaw is that there is no information to be found on how to replace the bulb, or even if it is replaceable. It’s almost like they expect you to just buy a whole new device when it finally burns out.I’m not familiar with these devices so I had to research and found the bulb CAN be replaced. I had to remove the two screws holding the translucent bulb shield and pull that off, then used a towel to grasp the bulb and CAREFULLY (these bulbs look fragile) pulled it straight out.In case it helps anyone, I found that the 21050 type 9W UV bulbs made for DynaTrap insect traps fit perfectly. I don’t yet know if this bulb will be as effective as the original. Time will tell.
