Great product
I love the way they work and it makes it so much easier for me. They are well made. The only thing is that the nuts for the bolts don't work with the bolts very well. I didn't use them. I replaced them with new bolts washers and nuts.

Works Great
This is a great item, makes life alot easier when strapping dn the boat at the boat dock. No more guessing as how tight to make it. No more risk of scratching the boat or gel coat. Just press the button, pull strap up and ratchet it tight. Very nice, very easy, it is also very easy to mount, but i do suggest you order the extra mounting parts, incase ,like my boat , the position in which i had to mount the buckle was way to forward, put to much angle on straps, the extra mount brackets, added extra length to eliminatethat angle. You will thank your self every time you take your boat out. I got heavy duty, i used my own bolts , only because i dont like nila lock nuts. If you use stainless nuts and bolts you must tighten them slowly, if you try to use power tools they will freeze up the nuts before they tighten, that's Normal with stainless, if you use power tools or try to tighten stainless nuts and bolts to fast , its a Gamble as to weather they freeze up or not, if they do its a night mare to get them off, just use a little anti seize and a ratchet and you will be fine.

Excellent Product, highly recommended
This is the 4th set of these I have had on various boats. Easy to use, makes launching and recovery a breeze! I think they should be standard on all trailers. Highly recommended.

Excellent quality, the best of the bunch!!
This is an excellent product. Many reviewers are complaining about the stainless steel bolts and nuts not working, binding, breaking, etc. What many people do not realize is when you use stainless hardware you MUST use a anti-seize lubricant on the threads during installation or the nut can gall the bolt and become one fused on a molecular level....you must use anti-seize....always. I had no problems at all, took 15 minutes and they work perfectly. I had a set on my last boat for over a decade without a problem. Highly recommend!

So far so good
So far so good. Just got them so I'll report back if they fail me. They are easy to use. I didn't use their bolts, I bought stainless steel bolts & nuts instead. Hopefully they will last a long time. They do look well made.

Straps are fantastic, bolts and nuts are terrible!
I would have given these 5 stars any day of the week, but I ran into the same bolt/nut problem that has been brought up in other reviews. The mounting hardware is a large stainless bolt and nut, and while they look new and ok to use, the threads bind heavily and will sieze up on you about 1/2 way tight. In anticipiation of this happening (based on reading other reviews before I bought these tie-downs), I liberally coated the threads of the bolts and nuts with grease (I stole some off the zirk fittings off the boat motor). Even with this, I had one heck of a time getting these tightened down. I had to install the nut about 1/3 of the way, completely back it off, clean off all the shavings and grease, apply new grease, thread the nuts on 1/2 way this time, remove, clean, re-grease, then tighten all the way the 3rd time. And the 3rd time was still quite tough. I question if I will ever get the bolts off again if I needed to. Each buckle mounts with one bolt and one nut.The straps (not including the mounting hardware) are awesome. They are easy to use, lock the boat solidly in place, and ratchet down just as fast as any other ratchet strap. The strap material looks like seat belts and is very tough. The only thing I may do is add some sort of abrasive cover where the strap goes around a 90 degree corner and I am a bit concerned about long term chaffing of the strap. For what these cost, I want them to last a life time (and they are stainless afterall, so they should last forever). These straps are worth the extra money and are leaps and bounds better than using old school ratcheting straps to hold your boat in place. Don't bother buying the $9.99 2-pack specials that break after 2 years and get all tangled up (or lost). These boatbuckles stay mounted to the trailer and you'll never have to hunt for them. They also speed up launch and retrevial times significantly (and if you use a "busy" launch site, then speed is of the essence so you don't end up as a youtube video of the guy who can't seem to launch a boat).Again, the straps themselves are fantastic, but the bolts are a nightmare. As a previous commenter suggested, BUY YOUR OWN! I don't even recommend the grease method I tried.

After researching I purchased Boat Buckle
Prior to my purchase I spoke with about ten owners of boats, similar to mine, to learn about their experience with the Boat Buckle. The feedback I received was overwhelming positive so I made the buy. While mine have been installed for a short time (I did not require the "bracket kit") it's obvious the product reduces time at the launch and eliminates fooling around with other straps and contraptions. This was a sensible, economical purchase that makes trailering easier and safer.
