Why did you pick this product vs others?:I’ve used several sound deadening materials over the years — from Noico to Siless — and honestly, this one surprised me. I used it inside my doors and rear panels during a full audio upgrade on my truck, and it made a noticeable difference in road noise and vibration control. What really stood out was how well it sticks. Compared to Siless foam, this adhered way better, especially on slightly curved or uneven metal surfaces. I didn’t have to fight with it or go back and re-press areas — once it was down, it stayed down. Installation was easy with a roller and a heat gun for tighter spots. It's also noticeably cheaper than some of the name-brand options, which is great when you're trying to cover a whole vehicle without spending a fortune.Pros:✅ Excellent adhesion — better than Siless in my experience✅ Reduces road noise and vibration effectively✅ Flexible and easy to work with✅ Great value for the price Cons:⚠️ Backing paper can tear if you rush the peel (go slow)⚠️ Doesn't have brand hype — but still performs like a premium option

The sound deading material holds to curves well. It sticks to the bare/painted metal of a 30 year old vehicle well.I used it to cover the back hatch of a xj along with the wheel well areas and the back hatch and I still have several feet that I intend on putting on the floor boards when I pull that carpet up later.Since I had the cat stolen from me... The jeep is loud and this helped calm down the noise in the cab so I can hear things again.Without a decibel meter I cannot tell you how much the reduction was but... The rattle from the back and the feel in the seat is better. There will need to be more put in to fully help.This was the cheapest material I could find for the size, it works well and covers quite a bit of area. I would buy it again and I probably will when I pull the headliner down.As for heat, summer is coming and I am hoping this helps keep the back cooler. We will see what happens.My goal with the jeep is to build a nice daily driver for a cheap as I can, think low car, so far I am doing pretty well at that.

I have used other sound deadeners for projects, those being the high-density sound deadeners. This is a closed-foam material, basically like lining the trunk with a thin yoga mat, not butyl rubber. I knew what I was looking for, and this was exactly that. The material was easy to size, cut and contour to the trunk walls. The roll of 36 feet was enough to do the trunk floor and side walls, which is all I needed. I literally had a tiny square. The car specs were around 26 feet, so I am glad I had enough. I would have been extremely upset if I had to take everything apart again! I don’t know how well of an insulator the material is, the listing says “blocks 98% of radiant heat”, whatever that actually means, I am not sure, but it has got to reduce heat gain and loss, at least a little bit. If you are looking for a sound deadener for your car stereo, this would definitely not be my first choice. This material works good for reducing road noise, vibrations and rattles, but not for increasing SPL like the other material. I would definitely think about the project and the desired results before making this purchase so as to properly manage expectations. I paid roughly $1.33 per square foot of the other material. If I were to do it again, I would spend the extra $7.20 (per 36 square feet) for the heavier-duty material.* = Product does NOT function correctly! Easy to peel and apply, decent quality and gives the doors a nice solid closing sound. Used on speaker adapters and they do not rattle or move at all.

I own a late model vehicleI originally cleaned all surfaces with degreaser. I got spotty sticking. Cleaned next installation areas with lacquer thinner. Solved my adhesion issues.

I bought this to use to quiet down a classic car and it works great. Super easy to install and goes around bends and corners easily.

Is this on the inside doors of my 2010 Prius to help lessen the road noise. Also plan on using an on each wheel well and inside of the front fenders to help lesson even more road noise.. pretty happy with the quality given the cost
