I got this as a birthday present for my partner who loves gherkins. She loves it and uses it every day. It doesn't leak and the dials on top for setting the date are really good for remembering when the oldest liquid in there was put in. I was worried it would be too big to fit on my fridge shelf but it's perfect. It holds a 680g jar of pickled gherkins easily.

If you like gherkins and olives like my family do, get this. You will not be disappointed. I love gherkins and olives but don’t usually get it because I can’t be bothered fishing it out the brine until my hubby told me to get these and OMG, game charger.

I could not get this jar to stop leaking. Found the rubber sealing ring was jammed hard on the inside of the lid. I had to loosen it with a sharp knife. After removing the seal and replacing it back inside it worked perfectly with no leaks.

Great big jar, easy to clean but you need close it quite tight. I would recommend these jars.

The media could not be loaded. i was super excited about it as i wanted one for so long, specifically glass jar. Sadly upon starting using it, it leaks constantly, no matter how and how many times i try adjusting the rubber seal, as soon as you screw the top back on, same things happens 😭 so sad

I really wanted to like this, but it doesn't quite live up to its description. It does work, I decanted a precious large jar of homemade cucumber pickle into it. It does strain it and make it easier to serve the pickle, then you invert it back and the vinegar covers the pickle until next time. Great. But ..... if you don't screw the 'lid' on properly it leaks everywhere. It's too big to fit in the fridge. It's too big and that means your vinegar is in touch with the air, too much, so you have to use up the pickle fast. That's disappointing. A smaller version would be fab.I like the handle grip hollows. I don't like the 'calendar' system, you can't see it or read it. I think it should be smaller and it is too easy to not screw the lid down properly. It's good but not great. And quite pricey!

I used it for sauerkraut, to allow it to drain slightly before forking it out. Also pickled onions.Sieve part is rubber and removeable for cleaning. I can get my hand in, just, to wash the lower section.I think this could be used for pickling, becasue you could easily ensure all food is submerged, when upside down. (though not for fermenting, as pressure would build up).
