Julius-K9 Color and Gray Collar, 20 mm (27-42 cm), Black-Grey

I like the Julius range of products that I've bought so far but admit I was a little unsure about this collar due to the connection being a push clip/squeeze release. In my experience these inevitably fail when under pressure and with twisting or rotational force - hence a dog pulling could cause the clip to release.In reality that's not a concern as Julius have adopted a belt and braces approach here. After you clip the collar on you then thread a strap through a strap loop and double back onto the velcro fixing pad. This should give some additional security should the clip break or come loose for whatever reason.The only criticism I have is the handle. The issue is that it can be pushed flat against the collar where it's then held in place by velcro. It makes it almost impossible to grab quickly should you need to as you have to pull it away from the collar/dogs neck to release it from the velcro enough to fit your hand in.Otherwise it's a great collar.

Comfortable on my dog with plenty of adjustment and variety of colours. Reasonably priced too.

Previously spent 3 times as much for a collar that was not as good quality. The matching light harness and lead have even great buys as well. Know what I will be buying again in future.

The collar itself is really good but I have an xl bully with a 24 inch neck and I measured correctly and bought the biggest size. It only just fits him and is too tight and as I say I bought the BIGGEST size available. So I’d recommend not buying this for larger dogs with wide necks. Shame

Swapped from the K9 harness to the collar for my dog who pulls like a steam train. Very sturdy and love they still have a handle, makes for such easier control if needs be!

Good points first. Superb price. We love the look of this collar, we have the regular K9 harness, the orange and grey lead and the orange and grey harness, both of which are super quality and sturdy, sure to give years of wear!We got this collar to match the harness and lead in same colour combo and as we loved the aforementioned so much, we had high hopes for this one too.Firstly, the clip is so damned fiddly, we were trying for nearly 2 mins to undo it and in the end resorted to making the collar bigger to get it over our dogs head as he was getting quite restless with us faffing about! Now before people say we must be a bit dim that we can’t open a push in buckle clasp, we know what we are doing, but for some reason the one we had was ridiculously stiff and difficult to spring open?!Secondly, there is no ring to hang the dog tags from, other than the big chrome one which the lead clips to, simply not good enough!Lastly, where one end of the collar has to pass through the lead ring, it looks like it sits awkwardly round our dogs neck, I wouldn’t want to wear it, so I won’t make him!Such a shame they have over complicated a simple collar, yet managed to leave the all important dog tag ring off?!We have decided to stick with our ruffwear collar which is perfect, just not as matchy matchy.
