Easy to set up & works absolutely fine. Great price too. If you're buying please note the printer doesn't connect via WIFI it's USB only & a USB cable is not included. Although this is plainly stated I've seen several reviewers grumbling about it!

Perfect After reading a few reviews, I was expecting to have a slightly difficult set up. Nope! I connected the printer to my desktop with the wire I purchased with it (less than £4) put the ink in, easy. The computer recognised the printer, I printed right away. Not to loud. I downloaded the scanner app, this took a couple of minutes and the scanner was ready. Great price. Delivered next day. No need for the CD. If you are looking for a cheaper office / occasion use printer. This one is great.

I was warned before buying this printer that I would need a USB cable to connect the printer with my computer, and that I would need a disk drive for the drivers. No problem, I had those. Unfortunately, I could not install the drivers using the disk provided. For some reason, the process kept failing, telling me that the computer was not connected to the printer, even though it was, and there was nothing wrong with my USB cable (it worked just fine with the scanner I was replacing). I spent hours over it, in tears. I could not get the driver to install. Well, I tried again today. First, I uninstalled everything. Then I found the appropriate drivers online, downloaded them, and installed them. Everything worked perfectly this time, got it up and running. It's a nice little printer for the price. But if you buy, do yourself a favour and download the drivers, do not use the disk, I reckon there was something wrong with it. Edit: I’ve been using this for a few days, and I have to say, I am very glad I managed to install this printer as I am very happy with it. The quality of the scanning is way better than the scanner I was replacing. My old scanner couldn’t cope with scanning from a book, there’d be odd little shadows all over the scan. Even a book with spiral binding where the pages laid mostly flat on the scanning surface. The scans produced by this printer are beautifully clean in comparison. The printing is very nice too. Not as nice as a laser printer, but still very clean and clear. So I suppose I do recommend this product. But do not attempt to install the drivers using the disk provided. I can’t emphasise that enough.

I bought the Canon PIXMA MG2551S because I wanted to try something new. I’ve always used HP printers, and even when they were acting up — at least they still worked. But this… this was worse than a broken HP printer. The print quality itself is just okay — nothing amazing, nothing special. But the connection process? A total nightmare. First of all, why on earth would anyone still rely on CDs in 2025? I had to manually download the drivers online. That was already a hassle. Then, to make it worse, the USB cable isn’t even included. So I had to wait an entire extra day just to be able to set it up. When I finally tried connecting everything, the process felt unnecessarily complicated and outdated. But the real pain began when I accidentally uninstalled and tried to reinstall the driver. I swear, it was the most frustrating tech experience I’ve ever had. Endless waiting, random errors, and it still wouldn’t connect properly. It’s slow, clunky, and honestly, a complete waste of time. This printer made me regret switching from HP. I felt irritated, stressed, and completely let down. If I could give it zero stars, I would. 🚫 Do not buy this printer — save yourself the headache.

Good basic printer, doddle to install with a Lead, no Wi fi but it was recognised by my Lap Top and just click to install. Negative comments about no lead are expecting too much from a £30.00 printer with 2 full inks ! Sharp prints, what's not to like?

Was initially pleased with the price ect of this canon printer. I have had canon printers before and they have always been great for printing papers or photos. The printer comes with a disc that helps to load the driver to your computer or laptop. Since many laptops don’t come with DVDR slots, and you can get the driver data via download, this seems superfluous. However there was a problem that could have been avoided. Unfortunately the printer didn’t come with a cable to attach the printer to the laptop. I could understand this if the printer was Bluetooth enabled but it isn’t. You need the cable for it to work! Why buy a printer that won’t work without a specific cable. I have had to purchase the additional cable to make this printer work. Surely Canon could have removed the unnecessary disc and replaced it with the cable which is necessary. Money pinching tactics that are ridiculous. I purchased this for my daughter for university. University is expensive. There is a cost of living crisis and Canon have made a printer that is useless without a cable that wasn’t supplied with the machine. Very disappointing

Good printer, easy set up instruction, the cd does all the work, only one little complaint, when its printing each page it sounds like it is saying 1 million, i hope that is not the cost :) I bought this from Satlev on Amazon not Canon, SATlev is a gentleman without equal, the printer came lacking the inks, I complained, the same day he got back to me, I would say he bent over backwards to help me, the inks and some photo paper arrive next morning. I have never given 5 stars before because I believe there is always room for improvement, not this nice chap, i would give him 6 stars out of 5 for working the good old way, the customer is always right. The usual great performance and quality from a long trusted brand, easy ink changing and high quality photograph printing. Small enough to use on the desk if space is a problem in the office, scans at a good rate and quality, all the usual settings available on the higher grade printers and equally as happy with the many paper sizes. Highly recommend as a budget alternative from a name that is one of the best today.

Todo correcto! A pesar que la caja ha llegado un poco estropeada la impresora viene muy bien protegida entre placas de espuma gruesa, la instalación a través del CD es rápida e intuitiva, el funcionamiento perfecto, impresión de calidad. La recomiendo
