Effective Frame Clamp
Purchased this clamp to use to clamp a frame and it serves its purpose well for that function. These clamps are not designed to tighten to enormous pressure, just enough pressure to keep the materials held together when you join them. The advantage of using this clamp over others is that you can join two different size pieces and you can independently screw each piece down. This proves superior to the ones where you have to try to hold two pieces of wood and also screw one screw that tightens on both pieces. The box that arrived indicated it was Shop Fox, a Grizzly product. After going to Harbor Freight, they sell the exact same clamp as item #38661. It's the exact same clamp, color and all for $9.99. Go figure.

I found the EXACT same thing at my local Harbor Freight for about $10 less. All in all though, these work very well fo r their intended purpose, and seem reasonably stury. I have put together a couple of frames with them, and they work pretty well and allow a lot more freedom of your hands. I'm hoping they will be durable and last a long time, but I don't intend to stress them to much, as I'll only ise them when needed, about twice a year, maybe.

Does the job. Kind of cheaply made. Was dissapointed to find the same thing cheaper at harbor freight. I was hoping for a higher quality item.

Great tool, but make sure you have at least 4 of them.
works well, but if you wanting to use it for drawers or something that needs perfect 90 degrees, recommend buying at least 4 of them. 8 would be better, four for the bottom four for the top, to ensure that they are perfectly square before screws. The quick release bottom is nice feature so you don't got to keep turning it.

A rather light weight unit but good for the price
A rather light weight unit but good for the price. I was able to square up all the way to 2x4's. Take your time and dont over stress the unit (it will break). Great for light jobs and more if you know what your doing.

An excellent clamp for picture, and other framing purposes.
This is a study clamp that will hold the ends of two pieces of material at ninety-degree angles. You would need four of them to do a frame all at the same time. Fortunately, I have four of them and they work great. For production work they can be fixed to a base and then you could quickly glue-up and assemble frames. They will accept wood that is approximately six inches wide. They keep everything nice and flat. The picture frames we made are just super. We also use these for door frames. If you are doing a lot of cabinets you should get these. They would save you a lot of cussing.

Cheap corner clamp, but not precise
My daughter bought this for assembling picture frames. She was not able to get the frames square using this clamp and ended up using band clamps. Your mileage may vary. Not recommended.

These clamps are also very price competitive with the clamps at the DIY home stores like Lowes and Home Depot
Had bought a pair of these corner clamps previously, just didn't use them often, but as I began to do more work with wood the clamps I had proved their worth again and again - I needed another pair! These clamps are also very price competitive with the clamps at the DIY home stores like Lowes and Home Depot.
