The best thing I’ve bought this year .Simple to use with clear instructions , presets or multi choice of settings depending on purpose .Recommended by a friend to reduce time and damp when drying clothes indoors . Cheap to run , compact and well made.2 weeks ago we had a burst pipe and used the dehumidifier to help dry out the carpet, it’s amazing how much water it collects .Very quiet running normally but also has a night mode - running time and humidity level can be set independently or it can just be left on until the collection tank is full .Brilliant .

A truly superb dehumidifier, so glad I bought it. Solidly built, runs like a dream and very effective at removing water from the atmosphere. Lots of easy to use different settings, and a beautiful electronic display. Very easy to empty the water tank. Really reasonable price too. And it's British made. Buy it, you won't regret it!

Glad we purchased for general use and to help dry laundry. It works well and pretty quiet. Seems robust - but only had a few months. Easy to move around and sucks surprising amount of moisture out of the air.The WiFi link is temperamental.

I’ve owned the MeacoDry Arete One 12L for over a year now and find it quite brilliant whether drying clothes or keeping the air dry in the house. It’s very quiet in operation and ‘pulls’ the moisture out of the air like there’s no tomorrow, just brilliant.I’ve now taken possession the new Arete Two which works equally well but with a nice new digital display and WiFi Meaco app control…as well as manual. It also has a louvre to direct the air forward, a nice upgrade.Also I find the Arete 2 is even quieter in operation than its predecessor, ideal for the bedroom at night.With its low155W when dehumidifying and cycling on only when above your pre set it is extremely thrifty.The six hour Smart Laundry mode looking for 35% humidity is perfect although the laundry may be dry sooner.It will also switch off when the water tank is full so no problem there. Two standard clothes horses full of clothes will not fill the tank so no worries there either. We use a fan on low setting pointing at the clothes and find it helps to shorten drying time even further. A great all round de-humidifier sturdily built, it just looks a class act and operates like one too. I thoroughly recommend the MeacoDry Arete One and the Arete Two.

Brilliant machine, so good I bought another for the other side of the house.Quiet - I can sleep with it on though I do wear earplugs anyway. Display is modern and easy to use, night mode turns the display off, and you can use the Tuya app to control it and schedule things like changing the mode, turning the display off at night etc. push notifications to your phone when the tank is full is handy.Using the Tuya integration for home assistant is handy, and I’ve plugged both into smart sockets to monitor the electricity use. One uses 10p a day, the other 35p a day.

I bought this after reading reviews. I live in a rented flat and was sick of having washing hanging for days to dry in lounge room. The windows streaming with condensation(despite leaving windows open in middle of winter) and black mould of windows, walls and curtains. Quite a solid built machine. Dries towels overnight, instead of three days. Very little condensation on windows. Very pleased so far. Wished I had bought one sooner.

Does the job - apparently better and cheaper than comparable units. Impressively quiet, running at high it's quite loud but running in 'night mode' it's like the hum of a fridge or AC.Buggy controls - The integral timer doesn't work, it randomly adds or subtracts hours (!?), you can't set the internal clock and there's no daylight saving switch, the app (which has all the usual exploitative data demands) doesn't have a proper 24hr timer, only an option to turn off in 1-5 hours, and using a timer plug to turn it off factory resets all your settings, so there is LITERALLY NO WAY to have the thing turn on and off regularly without fiddling with it at least twice a day - which seems incredibly amateur for the price.
