Has everything you need, almost.
Update after 7 years: Works well overall. However, the U-connector on the cooler return line began leaking, similar to another review I saw. Derale does not sell this replacement part outside the kit, so I'm going to try to cut off their crimped hose connections and clamp with hose clamps instead.Includes everything from zip ties to electrical wire. I have some side steps mounted to the frame near where this is supposed to mount, so mine had to be installed about 8" farther back than normal. Because of this, I had to extend one of the fluid lines. For a normal installation, the lines should be just the right length.I did run the electrical line to ignition-switched power with a relay, although I've heard good arguments to just use constant power from the battery (reliability, fewer wire splices and no relay to fail). The instructions do recommend an ignition-switched source, but I wouldn't recommend just tapping into a random circuit, as I'm betting this fan draws a few amps. Depending on what else is on the circuit, it might not provide enough power or blow a fuse. For that reason, I found an ignition-switched circuit and ran it into the engine compartment where I installed a new relay (not included). So the fan gets its power directly from the battery, but is switched on with the ignition.I've only heard it activate once so far, on a 95 degree day, with me "trying" to generate some heat in the transmission. I did have to roll down the window to hear the fan - it's not that loud like some others have said.

Serves its purpose well!
Bought this for my 1999 Wrangler. I was kind of apprehensive at first about where it was supposed to me mounted, just aft of the skid plate. However my fears have been allayed. It does sometimes get covered with muddy water (imagine that, on a Jeep?) but it still functions. You can definitely hear it cycle on and off. No damage yet, and I beat my Heep. I had to make a modification to the fluid intake when installing it. Basically, my Jeeps fittings differed from the instructions, and I had to hacksaw the crimp off the factory hose so I could then slide the accessory hose onto it. No biggie, but I did lose about a pint of fluid (down my arms) in the process. Again, not a big deal. The unit is very well built, powder coated, robust, and has plenty of hardware. Recommend!

Simple Install
I installed this Transmission Cooler on my 2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon TJ with an Automatic Transmission. The install was straightforward and simple. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has the 42RLE Transmission. This kit had everything. I did not have to purchase any additional parts to get the job done. Super simple install.

Great kit I mounted it on my 2015 JKU but it failed
Great kit I mounted it on my Turbocharged 2015 jeep JKU the only problem is the fan was severely defective and would not turn , reason being the shaft was spun out in the hub of the fan I am returning this one and will double check the quality of the replacement unit . If the replacement is 100% in operating shape I will re visit this and adjust the stars accordingly. Here is my revised rating five star transmission cooler highly recommend it to anyone who has transmission heat problems

Free Return not honored
This item would not work on our vehicle. Despite being listed on Amazon as free returns, the seller charged for the return shipping by reducing the refund amount. I will update if they change their position and return the rest of the refund.

Cooling is excellent but not a direct bolt on for 2005.
The cooling of the radiator and fan is good and works well. Very nice components. A big HOWEVER is this is NOT a direct bolt in for a 2005 Jeep TJ. The TJ cooling lines are not clamped on like the instructions say but have quick disconnects. You will need to get adapter fittings to attach the one line to the main radiator cooler. Derale could proved this $5 part to make life easier but it's not included. You will need to buy one Hayden Oil Cooler Installation Kit HDN 397. This will allow you to keep your quick disconnect in the radiator and use this to hook up the 3/8 line to it.

Disappointed
Order arrived on time, but there were parts missing. After calling them and explaining what was missing< i was told they would ship them right out...........................they came a week later. I ended up going out and purchasing a new (complete) kit so I could finish my project.Disappointed

Get creative if you have a long arm kit
Works well, but does not fit on frame as advertised if you have a long arm kit. It is supposed to mount where the long arm mounts. As you can see in my photos I manufactured my own mount and mounted it inside the engine compartment on the passenger side. Consequently it made plumbing the unit much easier
