So far it works great. We set it up in a bathroom so between the indoor temperature and the brooder heat, they seem comfortable. It's really too small for 20 chicks, more like 5 to 7 but I bought a pop-up brooder for additional space for them and its working just fine. They eat and sleep in this brooder and drink in the pop-up brooder. It was easy to put together but I wouldn't want to try the top windows without help.

This was purchased to help rear a couple of baby pigeons. They were first put in when still very young, with very few feathers. Now they're fully feathered and almost ready to begin flying attempts. This brooder was a life-savor.I purchased this particular one because the reviews for other models here on Amazon were troubling - talking about hard to regulate temperatures and fire hazards. I noticed the reviews for this one never mentioned either of those problems, so I purchased it and hoped for the best.I'm so glad I did. This was a very safe way to rear baby birds. Because it has a procilian heatng coil instead of a heat lamp it greatly reduces the chance of fire hazards. I also found the temp very easy to regulate.I would highly recommend this brooder over others.

It isn't a horrible product. The assembly instructions are a bit confusing but fairly easy to figure out. The box smelled moldy but the product inside was fine. I haven't put chicks in it yet so we shall see.

I am very pleased with the size of this brooder for the price. Winter hatching is always a challenge but we have this inside the house with 9 chicks in it. Keeps the dust in, and almost no smell. Easy to assemble. Waterer is junk but we had plenty to replace. I’m going to buy a couple more!

The brooder advertises it can house up to 25 chicks, but I’ve raised chicks for years and upon assembly this could definitely not hold more than two after the first few days without them crowding each other or getting too close to the heat lamp. Completely false advertising.Getting the protective cover off of all the glass without scratching the glass was impossible.One of the outlets came broken and stripped.The ventilation is poor; more holes would need to be drilled.Also frustrating is when trying to get help from Amazon, they referred me to the company, and trying to get help from the company, they referred me back to Amazon. Neither wants to take responsibility.

Easy to understand instructions, comes with everything you need for the brooder, final result looks fantastic.

Has plenty of ventilation and lots of heat. The light acts as a heat source for the day and the heater works great for night time. We have 2 ducklings and it's perfect for them. The ad says it holds a lot more but I wouldn't put more than 3 animals in it. They grow very fast.

This is well worth the money. I'm a woodworker and have bilt a 100 of them mine were bigger w/wire floor, with a tray under w/ better heating, but i get 350 for them so I bought this one for 107 to have for emergency. Their good quality w/out the extras for 10-15 chicks. I highly recommend for an inexpensive brooder. But you will need a higher watt heater than the 50watt they provide.
