Immediate relief
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I chose this product because I needed to replace my old filter. It was exactly the right size and fit for my Trane hvac unit. Price was reasonable and once installed it made an immediate improvement in my unit’s performance.

Best I've had.
I had two washable filters already, which I alternated between. One of them was a metal mesh filter and the otehr was some other material like a mat of woven plastic fibres, resembling a large flat synthetic exfoliator or something. That other filter worked, but it was a pain to clean. It'd get all waterlogged and try to fall out of its frame, and took forever to dry.So I bought this to replace the non-metal one, thinking it was the same thing as the metal one. Turns out I like this one a LOT better than the metal one I already had. It's n terms of durability, it's about the same. WAY better than the one it was meant to replace. It's got more layers/stages of filtration than my older metal one, which means it's able to clean more dust out of the air. As a nice bonus, there's no need to check each time to ensure the direction is correct; it works either way.I had a minor issue with it at first, but I contacted the seller via the email address listed on a sticker, and they rectified it quickly, with no hassle at all.It is a bit on pricey side, but after having seen the quality, it's totally worth it IMHO.

Great Value, But Requires Patience
The Washable Electrostatic HVAC Furnace Air Filter is a solid investment if you're looking to save money on replacements and help reduce your household's environmental footprint. The idea of a filter that lasts a lifetime and can be washed and reused is a big plus, and it does save money in the long run compared to constantly buying disposable filters. The six-stage filtration process seems to do a good job. It is sturdy and fits perfectly into the 20x20 area. It's thickness is about the same as a disposable filter. However, one thing to keep in mind is that after cleaning the filter, you do have to wait for it to dry thoroughly before reinserting it into your HVAC system. If it's not fully dry, dust and debris can stick to it, which could reduce its effectiveness. It’s a bit of a hassle, but not a dealbreaker as long as you plan ahead. As for dust collection, that’s really the key to how well this filter performs. It does an impressive job of trapping particles and preventing dust buildup in my home, but I was curious to see how much it would actually catch over time. After several cleanings, it seems to be doing its job. Just be patient with the drying process, and you’ll get solid results.Overall, I’m happy with the filter. It's a great value for the money, and the fact that it’s washable makes it a long-term solution for cleaner air and fewer trips to the store for replacements. Just make sure you allow enough time for it to dry properly after cleaning!

No more throw-away expensive one-time usage A/C filters!
Some years ago our family discovered static electricity A/C filters that worked very well for our home, but was 'cleaned' by the use of a vacuum and was not washable. These filters were more expensive than the others that would eventually have to be replaced as well. We've recently relocated to a new home with multiple A/C filters which already was collecting enough contaminates that they should be replaced. The former home owners had replacements for each filter location (each of different dimensions) so we used the new, but not washable filters until they started getting noticeably dirty.Since we had used static electricity filters that worked very well multiple times, they also had to be simply discarded. We searched for static electrical A/C filters in our new area and discovered the Trophy Air Washable Electrostatic HVAC Air Filters that is advertised as 'lifetime'.After much investigating we were very impressed that you can purchase common sizes, but if you have a unique size, like our present A/C you can actually order by dimensions to fit the intake frame precisely! So far (a few weeks of usage) the filters are working well but has not been needing any attention as yet, but has apparently collected some debris exactly as they should.A little initial higher cost than the static electric filters made of paper/plastic, but after comparing the current cost of our new filters we realized you could have to buy about 4 disposable filters for the cost of just one washable/reinstall life time filter. Plus, you can order custom sizes if necessary - just once!Great product, sturdy construction of aluminum framing and perfect fitting.

High quality.
The media could not be loaded. Excellent. I use it attached to a 20in box fan via bungee cords to create my own air filter. It works great.

Electrostatic Air Filters will save you money
We just had the HVAC serviced for spring/summer, and of course the technician did his job well. He mentioned that the manufacturer of the HVAC has come out with an electrostatic air filter, but the cost was too much money for us. I checked on Amazon for the price of electrostatic air filters and found that they are much more affordable. There are several brands out there, but the reviews for the Trophy brand air filter were better than a few of the others. These electrostatic air filters do a better job of capturing dust, allergens and pet dander better than the paper type, really good for anyone who suffers from allergies. The filter is sturdy and slides in nicely without getting caught on the track. I bought two so that when it's time to wash the filter, we can put the other in without having to wait for the filter to dry.
