This thing saved me just now.
I have to write a review immediately because this thing saved me so much trouble (and probably money). I was so unbelievably stupid to throw chicken wings into the toilet. They were spoiled and I did not want to throw them in the trash due to smell so my very (emphasis on VERY) stupid (and more emphasis on STUPID) brain said why not flush them. Yeah... NO. Don't ever do that. After that, water drained but very slowly. It was after hours and our leasing office charges for something like that. Panic started. I have this borescope camera and went in there to se and they were stuck deep in there. I googled and searched on Amazon. Most things said a snake does not work in a toilet and bones are too thick for chemicals and I would have to remove the toilet. I saw this toilet snake grabber and just risked it. I received it 45 minutes ago. I immediately unpacked it, and went in. Blind. My next idea was to attach the camera to the grabber but I got one piece immediately, then another, then another. Disgusting (1 day old raw chicken wings from the water) but after 5 out of 9 pieces, I could not grab any more. I shoved this thing inside over and over and all of a sudden it got easy. I think I pushed the rest into the canal. Toilet flushed again perfectly. The giant sigh of relieve could be heard through the city. The bowl was scratched. A YouTube search for 2 minutes and saw, that it can be removed with Barkeepers Friend which I had. Emptied the bowl, padded it dry and used barkeepers friend and the scratches disappeared. Best $30 I have ever spent. Lifesaver. I could not use the toilet for 15 hours. I did not want to grab in there with you know what in there or have to call some help and stuff is in there. Hope somebody reads this and when they have chicken to dispose off, will remember.

The right snake for the commode...
A handy size for the job and relatively easy to use and clean-up. It's great for a single person or a family of one or more.

Do not recommend
So technically, I guess it worked, because it eventually cleared my drain (after I used it along with a plunger). But I do not recommend this product. The claw thing broke almost immediately. And the product doesn't work well as a snake. I actually think this product ONLY makes sense if you dropped an object in the toilet and needed to retrieve it and there was no other blockage. It might work OK for that. But if your toilet is stopped up, buy a different product, one that comes with a protective sleeve and works like an actual snake.

Worked after several times.
This replaced a standard plumbers snake that is not flexible and did not go deep enough. This item was fairly easy to use and fixed the clog after several tries. Downside would be it scratched the bottom of the toilet bowl badly. Saved probably over $100 for a plumber. Would buy it again.

It will save you money
This product is GREAT. My toddler threw his toothbrush down the toilet. I called so much plumber and it was expensive. $200 to unclog a toilet. I order this and it took me 5 minutes to get it out.

For waste clogs only.
It didn't work for a ceramic flush handle that got flushed into the toilet. It was stuck in the wax seal area. I couldnt grip the object with this device. I ended up calling a plumber to remove the toilet and receive the flund handle. It might work for waste clogs in the toilet trap, but not for retrieving flushed items unless it has an easy to grip area.

Worked great/ Pulled item out of toilet.
This product worked great! We had a makeup brush accidentally flush down the toilet, causing a backup. I squeezed the handle (to close the claw) in order to advance it as far as possible. After a few attempts I was able to pull the makeup brush out. Very impressed and relieved that I don't need to call a plumber and spend hundreds of dollars. Great product!

Too flimsy not worth the money
It's too flimsy did not work for what I needed it to my youngest son dropped a mini fire stick remote in the toilet and flushed it by accident and it was so flimsy it wouldn't even go all the way through to even touch the remote to be able to pick it up and so I can pull it back out had to take off the toilet
