Powerful and Loud
I own 3 of these and they are surprisingly powerful. You need to ensure the housing that you mount them to is at least 3 inches deep or the audio card will bottom out. The blue tooth is strong on all of these units and the volume is loud. You can connect a microphone (my grandkids love) for karaoke as well.

Works Great!
I was looking to add an in-ceiling speaker system to my small shop, for background music. This in-wall, bluetooth-enabled, 4-channel digital amp was perfectly-sized and featured. This amp fits in any standard single-gang electrical box, mounting like any wall switch or outlet. The amp is surprisingly light weight... it weighs about the same as a basic light switch! Attaching speaker wiring was very easy thanks to the built-in screw terminals. The amp comes with an external DC adapter which plugs into any standard AC outlet... but will require an extension cord, unless your mounting location happens to be very near a power outlet. The amp actually comes with a wire and connector pigtail for hardwiring power to the amp... but that power supply must be 12-volts DC, NOT AC... there's no power conversion/adaption built into the amp. As for audio, the amp is clean and powerful- when used with 4-ohm speakers. The amp can work with 8-ohm speakers, but audio power output will be cut in half. Bluetooth range is good (at least when mounted inside a plastic junction-box... metal boxes, may reduce range), with quick efficient reconnections to the last paired device. There is an auxiliary (1/8" stereo) line-level connection on the front- for connecting most any audio playback device, and a second 1/8" stereo connection "break-out" on the back (for in-box wiring). Only one of these connections can be used at a time- connecting to the front-panel connection overrides the rear "break-out" connection. A single 1/4" microphone input connection is also offered on the front. There is very little information about this connection... Pictures in the listing suggest that this is a "TS" - or unbalanced, mic connection. However, looking at the PC board to which the connector is mounted reveals three separate (and labeled) solder points- suggesting that this MAY be a "TRS"- or balanced mic input capable of both balanced and unbalance mic connections (using a 1/4" connector, ONLY). Also note that this is a dynamic mic input, ONLY... no phantom power for condenser mics. The mic input works well (tested with an unbalance hand-held mic)... However, it's worth noting that the mic input is an "either/or" proposition. Switching to the mic overrides all other audio inputs... there is no "talk-over" functionality, here. Finally, this amp also offers a USB "input" - which the instruction sheet all but COMPLETELY IGNORES. Looking at the "Function" diagram suggests this a USB stick/SD card adapter reader which can also supply 5-volts at 1-amp for device charging. As a card stick reader, it likely requires media offering no more than 32GB of storage capacity (and possibly less), probably must be formatted FAT, probably only reads mp3 files, and MUST have any such files stored at the root level. As there are no playback/transport controls offered (on the face, or via any app), one must assume that playback begins upon inserting a USB storage device, and any files would play in alphabetical order, only.

Good idea Bad Bluetooth
When I finally had time to installed the item it didn’t work I had my electrician run my wires from my speakers and installed in the ceiling it played for 2 days and the Bluetooth doesn’t pick up the tv now which that is what I brought it for

Excellent Plate Amplifier !
I’m a fan of Cheap Audio. The goal is to squeeze good performance out of inexpensive audio components. So, I needed this wall plate amp to replace an existing stereo amp. It will be part of my audio system, which plays video conference sounds, music, and computer alerts on a pair of small speakers. My previous amplifier is actually rated to be more powerful than this one, but it has a flaw - the Bluetooth receiver is always turned on. That is a problem within an office setting, because everybody who passes by tries to connect to my Bluetooth, resulting in that amp dropping the sound from my hardwired input. Therefore, my most important specification from this amp is that it should give me some manual control of the Bluetooth connection. See the picture shows there is a slide switch which allows me to select an audio source from line-level inputs, Bluetooth, or microphone. That’s perfect, so Bluetooth will no longer accidentally interfere ! The picture shows that I connected the amp for testing. Later, I’ll install it into a wall box. The amp comes with wire stubs that connect to the amp’s internal connectors, so I can hide my wires inside the wall. The sound quality is very good, sounding like it easily covers a full frequency range. Power is definitely enough for office use. It is very expressive at medium volume, but if I really turn up the volume, the dynamics get compressed. The controls are logical and easy to use. I really like this amp !

Nice sound, good features. Speaker connections aren't great
This thing was a pain to hook up. For some reason, they have the inputs for the speakers facing forward instead of backwards. So assuming the speaker wires come from the back, you have to U-turn them to get them into the connectors. The connector ports are also pretty small. I had to step down to stranded 19 gauge speaker wire and it was about as big as the connectors could accommodate - especially considering the U-turn. It was very hard to get it all into a high voltage wall box. The wires kept coming loose. I'd recommend just using a low voltage frame mount so you don't have to struggle with confining all the wires into a box. Anyway installation woes aside, it works well! Better sound quality than I had expected. This little unit has a surprising volume output so start low. Seriously it is loud. Even the bluetooth chimes are a bit shocking in volume. I chose to wire the power and aux inputs into the back using the provided connectors and both work fine. The aux input is from a stereo receiver that used to run these speakers. The provided connector has very small wires, so the quality of the input suffers a bit but it's not too bad. The BT quality is very good. The USB functions well too. There are no controls for the usb. If you plug in a flash drive, it just starts to play the files in order ( Though it will remember where you left off the next time you plug in the same drive). The usb is also good sound quality. There is also no equalizer. What I wanted from this unit is easy Bluetooth connectivity and nice appearance and I got both of those things. I like the sound quality and the versatility, but i'm docking a star for poor design on the speaker outs. Soooo frustrating to install but I think I will enjoy and get a lot if use out of this.
