The Woman in Me: The Numer One Global Bestseller

Wow
It has been a while since I have read a book that has touched me in the way this one has.I love how it is written, it is written in a way that feels like you are catching up with a girlfriend over a coffee or trading secrets at a sleepover.I really felt like I now know a piece of Britney.I can honestly say she is so strong!! *spoilers* the part she wrote about her time in the conservatorship in detail and about how most people would “un-alive” themselves, made me cold. I felt that in my core! The cycle of abuse in her family especially amongst the men on her fathers side was insightful yet disgusting. So much of the abuse explained why she ended up in the relationships she has ended up in.Justin & Kevin; absolutely disgusting human beings!!! I wish I could use their youth as an excuse but the fact at Justin’s current age he wanted to silence her and only as recent as last year was it? That Kevin done that 60 min interview with her boys and is still demanding money from Britney???No excuse they are horrible.I’m no die hard Britney fan but I do like her music and performances. However this book really made me feel more connected to her and inspired by her.My only criticism was that it was such a short read. I heard it was supposed to be longer. I wish it was.Great book. She is so brave and strong and all I can do is send my positivity and healing for her, the things she seems to crave the most and rightly so!

Powerful read
I'm sure I'm not the only person who has purchased this out of adoring this woman from about aged 10 and been devastated to see what happened to her. This is candid, raw and very moving. I think we all think we know Britney and whats happened but wow I learnt alot. And glad to see her strong enough to set the record straight.Generally, this has a more personal than career account which I wasn't totally expecting.. the truth about her relationship with Timberlake, what was going on behind the scenes with key TV appearances or newspaper photos and headlines, and much more.I had no idea of most of this stuff and think she's so much more brave than I gave her credit for. I cannot believe the control of things her family had. She writes it in such a way, its not met with evil or criticism, just showing the facts.I don't think you'd have to be Britney fan to read this. If you are interested in a strong female life story, this will appeal.I'm so pleased shes had her say.

A good insight into the life of a pop princess
I pre-ordered this book as I’d been waiting for it to be released.I feel it has a lot of content that explains things we, as the public have seen but been unable to fathom over the years.Much of my time reading the book was spent wondering how much had been ghostwritten. Britney’s emotions are present throughout, there is a lot of anger and resentment. It is quite an eye opener in terms of Britney’s parent’s relationship whilst she was growing up, but also of her view on the conservatorship. In summary this was a good read about the highs and lows of an inspiring woman’s career and her story of broken trust and loneliness - the side she wanted us to hear.

Heartbreaking
The heartbreaking story of the life of the legendary Britney Spears in her own words. We follow her life from the early years running wild in the Louisiana woods behind her home, to the Mickey Mouse Club and from the release of Baby One More Time right up to release of her album Glory plus her life under the conservatorship and iron rule of her abusive father. Some of it is genuinely heartbreaking, and it's to Britney's credit that she puts her life out there warts and all for the world to see. It's a book that's well worth reading and not just for Britney fans.

Interesting read
I was always a huge fan of Britney. This book gives a bit of insight of her life. She is talented and can’t wait to see more books from her.

Not as insightful as I hoped
This book is a must-read for any hardcore Britney fan and does seem like it is written in her own voice. You really feel sorry for her, and her vulnerability comes across on every page.I feel what really let the book down was a lack of photos and I frequently had to Google photos when the book referred certain outfits or events. It's quick and easy read and I got through it in a day.The media have revealed all of the big 'secrets' already (like the abortion and abuse), so I wish I had read it before reading the gossip columns!

Freedom
I cried, I laughed. And read it in half a day. It’s about freedom, anger, redemption, sex, faith, and compassion. The book makes you aware of media manipulation, and how we go along with it (how dare she disappoint us?). I might not pay and go to a concert of an unwilling to perform bald 150kg woman (or I might), but it's her issue, not mine. I don’t believe she understands how of a privilege her situation is and was – they are so many artists who don’t get the attention that they need to live from their art - and her cluelessness about so many things (how men react to her sexiness, how she was used by them, how harsh people can be, etc.) is fully assumed, but, honey, shouldn’t you be using your brain a little bit more? There are also some incoherencies in the harshness of the conservatorship (she claims she was always on hard diet but speaks of a movie night with her two boys where she could have had popcorn, and then of nights out dancing in Europe; - but does it really matter?). There is also few to no words to the first 3 albums she did under the conservatorship (a glance at the relationship with Max Martin would have been interesting, or comments on the “hold it against me” song and video). Finally, no words of her alleged medical diagnostic (only some post-partum depression is mentioned), which is no wonder, as you have to be an adult to assume those types of things in life. Anyway, a fantastic read, least but not last: a big thanks to the incredible work of the ghostwriter(s) who helped out carving something compelling of the life of this superstar, no longer ours.

The Story of a Pop Phenomenon!
I couldn’t wait to read this book when I found out about it! I eagerly awaited its release and ordered it shortly after it became available. The book starts off with her childhood: the good and bad times; then moves toward her teenage and early adult years and continues from there. I don’t want to give away any juicy details for those who have yet to read it.“I” [quotation marks for emphasis here] was captivated from the very beginning. Britney really opened up here and, because of this, the reader really gets an in-depth look at her life: the upbringing, the fame, the struggles, etc. She gives so much detail - almost as if you were there witnessing every one of them alongside her.It was a powerfully engaging and thrilling read for me. Each chapter was just as riveting as the next. I read the book rather quickly due to not being able to put it down!Britney survived it all and she has become a stronger person because of it. Is she perfect? No, far from it. But no one is. Growing up as a global superstar would probably cause endless problems for any person out there. If you are a Britney fan, like me, or just curious about her life, you will find this book to be a thrilling read. It has a wonderful blend of good times, bad times with plenty of humor and seriousness sprinkled in throughout. Beautifully and artistically she recounts all the major details of her life, and how they have led to where she is now: a free woman. Stronger, wiser and fiercer.

I hope she heals. She deserves it.
I feel like this book is a painful picture of a story that went wrong. Britney made wrong decisions, but they were hers. What her family did to her, afterwards is despicable. Greed consume people inthe most horrible ways. I wish Britney the happiness she deserves.
