AUTO-VOX X2 Streaming Media Dash Cam,1296P HD 9.88" Full Touch Screen, 720P IP68 Waterproof Reversing Camera with Night Vision, Dual Lens Mirror Dash Cam with G-sensor, Parking Mode, LDWS, GPS

I purchased the Auto-Vox X2 mirror dash cam on Amazon on 24th July, it arrived on Sunday29th. I was kept informed of the dispatch and delivery every step of the way.Upon opening the package, the X2 box was found to be well presented and well packaged, an attractive product box, wrapped in shrink fit plastic. Inside, all the parts were protected in foam packing and the wires etc individually bagged in plastic.Opening the box revealed the main mirror unit, rear camera, power lead, GPS module and two sets of rubber mounting straps to attach the main unit to your existing mirror, also present were a micro-fibre cleaning cloth and warranty card.Instruction manuals are provided in 3 language versions, English, German and French, which were clear and concise, giving pictorial guides alongside the written instructions.The literature states that a trans-flash, micro SD card of up to 128gb can be utilised for recording. I had a spare 64gb card, so I used that (I will decide later if I need to purchase the higher capacity memory card)I chose this camera on the strength of its positive reviews and also because I wanted a dashcam, but I also felt I needed a reversing camera as my vehicle (Jaguar F-Pace) is quite long.Attaching the main unit to the vehicles existing mirror was easy, simply placing the rubber mount straps around the mirror and attaching to the loops on the back of the unit.Routing the wires, was in my case, pretty much a carbon copy of the diagram in the instruction manual.I attached the power cable, rear camera feed cable and GPS unit cables to the unit, attached the GPS module to the dashboard and tucked all the cables behind the windscreen /roof trim and along the door pillar.I removed the rubber trim from around the upper part of the door and the cover plate by the bottom of the door to allow the wires to pass beneath, these were then easily tucked behind the trim and hidden.The power cable is of ample length to be routed in this way to reach the cigarette lighter power socket in my vehicle ( I simply passed it under the mats).The rear camera feed cable was more than long enough to reach the rear of my vehicle, so I coiled the excess and placed it in a concealed position behind the rear hatch cover. This cable should, I think, be of ample length to accommodate the rear camera being fitted to any pickup truck or long wheel-base van (in the region of 28 feet I think).I removed my rear number plate and conveniently, I found a couple of small apertures behind, covered by tape. This allowed me to pass the cable and connector for the rear cam through the rear hatch and into the space behind the cover, where the wiring for the reversing lights are situated. After testing the wiring harness to identify the 12 volt switched live feed to the reversing lights, I attached the single red wire from the camera feed cable, using the push in type splice connector to clamp the two wires together.The rear camera has a mounting bracket which allows adjustment of the angle and mounts to the body via two self adhesive pads, one under the flat top surface of the camera and another on the hinged mounting bracket. Conveniently on my car the flat top of the camera sat against the underneath surface of the rear hatch and the bracket sat behind the number plate, so I was able to utilise both adhesive mounts together. Having sealed off the aperture after the cable was passed through, to avoid any water ingress, I joined together the cable connection and replaced the rear hatch cover.All in all, the installation was relatively easy. The bulk of the work was in routing the wires to avoid them being on view, I only had to make the single connection to the reversing light, which triggers the reversing camera mode when selecting reverse gear. I was not intending to do this at first, as I was happy to lock the monitor screen in the rear view mode. But I am glad I did this as it also displays red and yellow guide lines on the monitor when in reverse gear and also changes the camera to a slightly longer range view.All fitted and no major hair loss!In operation the camera is easy to use and once set up has various useful functions such as Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), which alerts the driver if he is crossing lane marking on the road.Videos are time and date stamped, and speed is also indicated. Front camera footage is identified with the letter A after the file number and rear camera footage is denoted by the letter B. Audio is simultaneously recorded onto both files, useful if arguments ensue after an incident.Recording is done in either 1, 2 or 3 minute segments, which can be user defined. Once the video recordings reach the cards capacity, they overwrite earlier footage automatically. If the user wishes to preserve any footage, files can be locked, which prevents them from being deleted.Recorded videos are good quality, the front camera can be set to either 1080p or 1296p, whilst the rear camera resolution is set at 720p.There is a “driving mode” on the monitor which I believe turns off the display so it can be used in much the same way as a conventional mirror (with time and LDWS displayed). I chose not to use this mode as when th e unit was positioned to get the best forward facing angle of view, the rear mirror was not at the correct angle to allow full view out of the rear window. Instead I locked the monitor in rear view camera display mode , which means the angle is irrelevant as the rear camera view does not change when repositioning the main unit. The monitor image is visible at a wide viewing angle, so no issues there.The units position, sitting a little further back than the original mirror, does initially make focusing on the image a little strange, but after a while your eyes do get used to the focusing distance of the monitor as opposed to the focusing distance through the mirror (hope I explained that clearly).The benefit of this setup is that a much wider angle of view, and a better view than through modern small and restrictive vehicle rear windows, is given through the rear view camera. Objects do however appear to be more distant, again you get used to this.My vehicles original mirror is quite chunky, having a black plastic mount which sits against the windscreen.The forward facing camera sees this housing and displays it in the top right of the image . There is an amount of adjustment which can be made to the front camera view by altering the angle of the lens, but not enough to eliminate this. However, it really is not a problem because the angle of view from the camera is so wide, much wider than the driver sees just looking through the windscreen from his seated position.Once fitted, with all the wires tucked away from view, the unit is quite inconspicuous , the rear camera is hardly noticeable sat above the number plate.All in all, I recommend this camera for anyone looking for the features of a front and rear dashcam combined with a reversing camera. This unit came in at far less than half the price of a dealer fitted reversing camera alone. I am pleased with its quality, ease of use and features, only time will tell if it continues to satisfy.Something that was not made clear in the Amazon listing, although it is vaguely mentioned on the Auto-Vox website is the warranty period. I was pleasantly surprised that the warranty card in the box says there is a full 12 month warranty on the product, something which we as consumers have come to expect. I feel the seller should state this more clearly and prominently, including the period of warranty on both their Amazon listing and on their manufacturers website, its a huge selling point plus and should be highlighted.Product name Auto-Vox X2 dashcam and reversing/backup camera.Reviewed by Steve Robinson, 4th. The media could not be loaded.  Auto-Vox Dual Car DVR ReviewThis review has also been uploaded in HD 1080P resolution to a well know video sharing website, a search for "Auto Vox Vehicle DVR" should find it, here you will see the recordings in higher resolution than Amazon video reviews allowI’ve been buying and trying dash cams and reversing cameras for about 5 years now, i’ve pretty much tried them all.Up until now i’ve failed to find the perfect solution for my needs…but in the X2 from Auto-Vox i may well have found what i’m looking forMy Requirements…* High resolution front and rear recording cameras* Reversing Camera with live view on a large screen* Tidy installation with no hanging wiresThis fits the brief perfectly.The cameras are both great quality, the front camera can be set to 1296 or 1080p resolutions, 2304 x 1296 or 1920 x 1080 pixelsThe front camera angle is adjustable to compensate for how you might have the mirror set to give you the perfect view and it slides away from the DVR housing to allow it to peep around the original rear view mirror.The rear camera is 1280 x 720 resolution, it comes with a fully adjustable bracket covered in sticky pads, i did not need the bracket in my installation as my car allows for direct sticking of the camera body to the car at the right angle.Either camera can be viewed live on the screen at all times, i find this very very useful because i leave the rear camera on the screen permanently, the view the camera gets at the back of the car is a hell of a lot better than the view i get from the original mirror, which is mostly headrests in my view.You can also switch off all views by putting the DVR into “Driving Mode”, this blacks out the screen only leaving some information on the screen such as Speed, Time, Date and Direction, as well as Lane Departure Warning Lines. In this mode you can use the DVR as a standard rear view mirror.The Auto-Vox X2 has a very bright and large 9.8 inches wide screen that is very responsive to touch operation, just like a modern smartphone.You can slide your finger up and down to see the rest of the image from the camera, or slide left to right to adjust the screen brightness manually if you have it set to manual.The Auto brightness mode is very good, the ambient light sensor does a really good job of adjusting the screen brightness as the external lighting changes.Recordings are made to a class 10 micro sd card, 64 or 128gb is ideal, the dvr records video files in 1,2 or 3 minute chunks and when the card is full it automatically overwrites the oldest files with new ones.It records 2 files at the same time, one from each camera, and the sound from the built in microphone is recorded onto both files, so go steady on the singing!The DVR has an external GPS module that plugs into the DVR and is installed on the vehicle dash using its sticky padGPS gives map location features when viewing recorded files using the supplied Windows software, and it also gives speed & direction information when the DVR is in “Driving Mode”It also has G-Sensors built in to detect movement of the car,The G-Sensor is constantly recording the movement of the cars x, y and z movements, the recorded data is shown when you play files back using the supplied Windows software, this will give additional data should there be an accident or incident.The supplied Windows PC software “DVR Player” shows the recorded video file as well as GPS mapping information showing where in the world you are, as well as the G-Sensor information about the cars movements, this is useful information to have if you are contesting an insurance claim, this data will show if the vehicle attempted to swerve or brake at the moment you are looking at on video.You can playback the files without using the software in a PC or Mac using any media player able to play Quicktime MOV filesThe reversing camera cable has a red wire that if connects to the cars reversing light live wire will display a parking guide and the rear view camera to aid reversing, i have not done this on this installation because it takes too much work to get to the rear led lights in this car, i like it as it works now anyway.In summary i am very pleased with this dvr system, it looks great, is great quality and does its job really well

E' appena arrivata, non è aancora montata.... quando verrà montata e testata per un periodo di tempo daro un giudizzio altrimenti si rispedisce il tutto al mittente. Ho aspettato un po di tempo per aggiornare il mio giudizio sulla dash cam e onestamente devo riconoscere che in tutto questo tempo il dispositivo ha funzionato alla grande, e facendo i dovuti scongiuri, spero che continui così. Credo che sia doveroso ringraziare la signora Claudia per il paziente supporto datomi nello spiegare i sistemi per ottimizzare al massimo la dash cam essendo io un anziano acquirente con scarse conoscenze linguistiche.

The media could not be loaded.  Vraiment incroyable, je suis plus que ravi. Le prix est au premier abord très chère, mais ça vaut le coup car quand on veut un produit de qualité, faut pas hésiter à y mettre le prix.Tout d'abord, l'installation est très facile. Le rétro/cam s'installe sur le rétroviseur d'origine avec de très résistants caoutchouc. Il ne bouge pas du tout.Il y a 3 fils qui se branche par le dessus: 1--> la prise pour le boitier gps (pour contrôler sa vitesse en temps réel ainsi que nos coordonnées précises), 2--> la prise pour la caméra de recule, et 3--> la prise pour l'alimentation sur l'allume cigare. Il ne peut pas s'allumer si il n'est pas branché.Le plus fastidieux sera de faire passer ses câbles dans la voiture proprement.Pensez à faire passer le câble du côté où il y a le feu de recul pour la caméra de recul car il y a sur le fil ou l'on raccorde la caméra de recul un petit fil rouge. En effet, se petit fil se branche sur l'alimentation du feux de recul. Comme ça, dès qu'on passe la marche arrière, le rétro se met automatiquement en mode recul. Mais, ce qui est bien, si vous ne vous sentez pas à modifier votre faisceau électrique, ce n'est pas grave car branché, il faut juste activer le mode recul manuellement :)Donc pensez à faire passer le câble du bon côté ;)Il y a l'emplacement sur le rétro pour la carte SD, ce qui est vraiment bien pour stocker des très longues vidéos.Niveau options, il y a ce qu'il faut. On peut choisir le mode 1080 ou 1296 pour une images très très nettes. Les caméra s'ajuste toute seul en fonction de la luminosité si on active le mode auto, mais on peut régler manuellement également.Niveau qualité vidéo, vraiment impeccable, rien à redire. Attention par contre, la vidéo que j'ai mi, en mode nocturne, ne reflète pas la vrai qualité. Mon appareil photo a essayé d'ajuster les couleurs.Il y a aussi le mode rétro gps. Il calcul en temps réel notre allure. Vraiment pratique quand on ne dispose pas de régulateur de vitesse comme moi. On contrôle mieux et beaucoup plus ses vitesses.On peut également activé ou non l'heure et la date.En mode dashcam ou caméra de recul, on peut bouger l'image vers le haut ou vers le bas afin d'ajuster la vision dans toutes les situations.Et niveau rétro tout cours, il est vraiment grand, plus grand que le mien d'origine et on y voit beaucoup mieux.Honnêtement, je ne pensais pas être autant satisfait de ce produit. La qualité se paye et je ne suis pas déçu.

Ne ho restituito due di Auto-Vox X2, di cui una acquistata in UK da un mio Parente, quando qui in Italia neanche esistevano, perché proponevono solo modelli base Auto-Vox.Entrambe mi sono durante meno di un mese per difetto della cam posteriore dopo che mi sono fatto il c..o a smontare parecchie parti dell'auto.Era comodissima per il display ampio e luminoso e per il gsp molto comodo in montagna.

The media could not be loaded.  Cela faisait longtemps que je cherchais une solution de bonne qualité pour équiper l'arrière de mon nouveau Kangoo société qui n'a plus de vitre arrière.======= LA CAMERA AVANT (1080p/1296p) ======Je trouve la qualité vidéo de bonne qualité, on peut lire les plaques d'immatriculation comme sur mes autres dashcams.L'angle de vue est de 170°, c'est un classique de toutes les bonnes dashcams.L'objectif est orientable mais j'aurais préféré qu'il y ait plus de possibilités de réglage, il vous faudra aussi jouer sur l'orientation de votre rétroviseur.Les vidéos sont enregistrées en 30FPS avec un bon débit d'environ 12000kbps, c'est parfait.======= LA CAMERA ARRIERE (720p) ======C'est la principale caractéristique qui m'a fait choisir cette dashcam.En effet, habituellement ce genre de dashcams ont des caméras arrière ne 480p des très mauvaise qualité.Cela permet de voir ce qui se passe mais c'est vraiment moche.Ici c'est tout le contraire, le HD 720p vous permet de voir quasiment aussi nettement que la caméra avant et aussi de lire les plaques à une distance raisonnable.Si vous connectez le fil rouge sur votre feu de recul, alors la caméra arrière s'allumera lorsque vous passerez la marche arrière et aussi filmera plus bas si vous l'avez choisi auparavant.En effet, vous pouvez choisir de voir plus haut ou plus bas en faisant glisser l'écran verticalement.Et comme c'est une caméra de recul, l'image est inversée (miroir) en vue directe.Par contre, là où c'est super bien pensé c'est que sur la carte SD l'enregistrement se fait en vue normale non inversée !! Génial !!L'angle de vue est plus serré que la caméra avant, mais assez large pour voir correctement.Je dirais environ 120-140°.Comme c'est du 720p, avec un angle plus grand l'image n'aurait pas été d'assez bonne qualité.J'ai placé la caméra arrière sous le feu de plaque, le fil passe dans un trou existant à travers la tôle.Ensuite c'est collé à l'intérieur du coffre, aucune nécessité de faire les choses proprement dans le coffre.A l'intérieur de l'habitacle, c'est du classique on ne voit rien.====== MODE PARKING ======Il est prometteur mais il a des limites.En effet, le mode parking permet après avoir coupé le contact et après que la dashcam se soit éteinte, de déclencher un enregistrement suite à un choc dont la sensibilité est réglable dans les menus.Le problème c'est que cela commence à enregistrer après le choc.Seules les dashcams de grande marque comme Blackvue, Lucas, Thinkware ont un mode parking qui fonctionne sur détection de mouvement également, permettant commencer à enregistrer quelques secondes avant le choc ou avant la détection de mouvement.Sur ma CE20 je n'utilise pas le mode parking, donc je ne l'utiliserai pas non plus sur celle-là.Le bon point par contre c'est que lors d'un choc en mode parking, la caméra commence à enregistrer mais sans allumer l'écran !Toutes les dashcams ne font pas cela, c'est pour ça que je le précise !======= CONSEILS DE REGLAGES =======Utilisez impérativement l'alimentation fournie car c'est une alimentation 2A alors que les dashcams habituellement ont une alimentation 1A.La dashcam enregistre dès que vous mettez le contact et se coupe immédiatement après avoir coupé le moteur de la voiture. Ceci bien entendu si votre prise allume-cigares est alimentée par un 12V après contact.Si ce n'est pas le cas, vous devrez bricoler un peu ou voir avec votre garagiste.Mettez la résolution à 1920x1080, le 1296p ne vous apportera pas grand chose de plus à part des fichiers plus volumineux.Mettez la taille des fichiers à 3 minutes, cela évite d'avoir un évènement important qui tomberait à cheval sur la fin d'un fichier et le début d'un autre car seul le dernier fichier est protégé quand vous appuyez sur le bouton de verrouillage.N'oubliez pas de prévoir une micro-SD car c'est rarement fourni avec les dashcams.Je vous conseille une micro SD 32GB Classe 10 de bonne marque : SAMSUNG, TRANSCEND, SANDISK.Evitez les micro-SD pas chères de marques inconnues car une dashcam enregistre continuellement sur la carte, donc la carte doit impérativement être fiable.Si l'anglais ne vous fait pas peur, laissez les menus en anglais pour une meilleure compréhension car le français n'est pas toujours bien traduit sur les produits électroniques chinois.J'avoue que je n'ai pas essayé le français sur cette dashcam, à vous de voir.======= AVANTAGES & INCONVENIENTS ========J'aime 💚💚 Caméra arrière étanche d'excellente qualité (720p)💚 Qualité d'assemblage, design💚 Bonne qualité d'image avant et arrière.💚 Bonne performance de la lecture de plaques d'immatriculation💚 Grand écran, magnifique !💚 Mode parking même s'il n'est pas parfait💔 Image inversée (miroir) de la caméra arrière en Live, et normal en enregistrementJe n'aime pas 💔💔 Peu de réglages dans les menus, mais suffisant au final💔 Peu d'informations overlay sur l'écran, pas d'affichage de la vitesse GPS.====== CONCLUSION ======L'équipement idéal pour les véhicules qui n'ont pas de vitre arrière et donc pas de possibilité de mettre une dashcam classique à l'arrière derrière la vitre.

Très satisfait dans l'ensemble... les caméras sont d’excellentes qualités, service client très réactif: ils m'ont envoyé la notice de montage en français et en pdf sans même que je la demande, puis la màj en moins de 24h ... Sauf que j'ai dû recevoir une série des plus récente, déjà mis à jour et contenant cette notice en français papier ...J'aime :- Qualité de l’emballage, vitesse d'expédition, réactivité du vendeur- Qualité des matériaux de l'ensemble (écran et ses fixations, câblage très long , caméra de recul robuste avec rotation réglable physiquement)- Qualité des images, tant avant que arrière, qui permettent la lecture des plaques d'immatriculation et autre panneaux de signalisation facilement- le zoom auto de la caméra de recul quand je passe la marche arrière- l'angle de vision de la cam arrière en marche avant qui réduit beaucoup les angles morts ...- le programme de lecture des vidéos qui se colle sur la Sd lors du formatage (à installer sur votre sur Pc et vous affiche toutes les données liées au vidéos: position sur carte et vitesse , données de l’accéléromètre, et bien sur les vidéos av et ar horodatées (les vidéos arrière sont dans le bon sens : pratique pour lire les immatriculation des véhicules suiveurs)- Montage simple en 1h sans se presser même si la notice de montage est en "google french", c'est facilement compréhensible...J'aime moins:- la taille de la Cam arrière (un peu grosse pour montage extérieur)- le réglage (physique) de l'angle vertical et horizontal de la cam avant de trop faible amplitude- les lignes de guidages de la cam arrière inadaptées et non réglables- Je n'ai pas trouvé comment afficher la vitesse du Gps sur la Cam arrière : c'est soit la cam arrière en permanence sans la vitesse, soit la vitesse caméra éteinte.Ma conclusion : un bon produit pour lequel 2 mises a jours s'imposent vu le prix de la bête :- possibilité de régler la largeur et la hauteur des lignes de guidage ainsi que le décalage horizontale ou verticale de ces mêmes lignes (les caméras ne peuvent pas toujours être installées au centre de la voiture)- possibilité d'afficher la vitesse et la caméra arrière simultanémentEspérant vous avoir été utile ...
