I really like this mat. Holds all of the essentials on a ribbed surface which prevents anything from rolling off the shelf. I don't like putting my utensils on the metal shelf without wiping it down before and after use. This mat captures grease, bar b que sauce, and spills which then can be washed off in the sink (or dishwasher) when you are done cooking. Then I store it back in the bar b que so it is ready for next use.Great gift for whoever does the grilling in your house!

Just as I had hoped.
I am glad I chose the "larger" of the mats available... my grill tools are large (long) and this mat works well containing the drips, grease, etc... easy to wash/dry and put away until we grill again.
