Recommended by my myofunctional therapist since it actually activates your muscles instead of just having the tape hold your lips together. I used to use 3m surgical tape (a small, vertical strip as adviced in Breath by James Nestor) to allow for airflow on the sides, but it felt restrictive and there’s something about having your mouth taped shut that’s disconcerting when you’re trying to fall asleep. I love that you can mouth breath if you absolution need to with this tape, and it’s really nice to be able to still talk. It’s also less restrictive/confusing/alarming than tape if I happen to wake up in the night.When this tape works well it’s practically perfect, and when it doesn’t work well it’s because I had lotion or chapstick preventing it from sticking. It helps to cleanse the area first, press on firmly, and then apply chapstick or lotion after it’s stuck on properly. I haven’t had any breakouts or irritation and find the adhesive to be just right— so long as my skin is lotion-free before applying!I recently had my tongue tie released and between that procedure, myofuntional therapy, and mouth tape, I’m breathing easy for the first time in my life. I’m working with an airway dentist to expand my airway for a permanent solution (going to take a while), but in the mean time I’m grateful for this tape! She recommended a nasal strip, Xclear xylitol spray, and mouth taping every night. It’s been a total game changer for me and my family members who have been willing to try.

I don’t know what it’s supposed to stick on, but it doesn’t stick on your beard or your face. I washed it with alcohol and it still would not stick unreliable product plus it was too small on top of it all I do not recommend you buy this product due to the effective Two small and does not stick buyer beware

I use these religiously every night! I would always get freaked out about my mouth being covered in my sleep, but these work like a dream. I have an aura ring that monitors my sleep and my sleep quality has improved tremendously with these. I even feel way better and more rested. In the beginning of using them, I did feel like the first week or so like maybe I had some breakouts around my mouth, but my body adjusted to it And that doesn’t happen anymore now

This Mouth tape is my favorite. I like that it allows you to still exhale through your mouth if you choose to. It is comfortable and really works. My sleep score (according to my Oura Ring and a sleep program on my phone) is always better on the nights that I use it!

I like the opening. The product encourages you to keep your mouth closed without the feeling of claustrophobia. However the tape was more difficult to pull off than expected and left some adhesive.

I’ve purchased many worthless things on Amazon over the years. This one takes the cake. This is the most pointless thing in my house right now. I feel like an idiot for trying it. They should have lined it with vasoline and would have had a better chance of sticking to your mouth. I had to be careful not to drop them on the floor for fear that someone could step on them and slip.

I can’t imagine how this product would work for the majority of users. The adhesive is on the weaker side (a plus, I suppose, for removing in the morning). The fact that you can still talk with it on is its greatest strength and its primary weakness. If you’re going to leave the mouth area uncovered, that adhesive had better be as strong as gorilla glue. Otherwise, I’m guessing most of you will go through periods of mouth breathing during the night. Perhaps it won’t be as bad as if you hadn’t worn the myotape, but it’s still there. My morning breath wasn’t as bad when sleeping with the myotape, but not nearly as good as sleeping with 3M micropore tape. You also need to know that this product is not returnable. Caveat emptor!
