I like pools of light that highlight specific areas and I bought these to use under my kitchen cabinets to avoid using overhead lights and electricity all the time. Great light, super easy to install and loved the effect and illumination. Just what I wanted! The battery life however is a drawback if you want to leave them on for long lengths of time . So I did purchase rechargeable batteries and a charger to use with these because of this. I left them on full time at night to test the battery life and they did last for a night or two then started to dim with the constant use. They were still giving the lower light for several more days - about a week - then not effective. So started thinking how I could use these more effectively and functionally throught the house instead of just for the "effect" .Linen closet! I have to turn on the hall light to see in this closet and have used a flashlight to find things! I have no wall surface inside the closet so I installed one strip vertically on the trim facing inside the door, stringing the light downward with the switch at the top. Be sure to face the lights towards the closet interior so you don't blind yourself when you turn them on! This worked GREAT! illuminating all 4 areas of the closet and the switch is not in the way. You only turn it on when you need to get something so it is not constantly on and the batteries will last a long time and have. It's portable and you can adjust it to your height and reach, no tools needed - just stick it on and then "click it"!2nd area I installed was in the laundry room - under the cabinet over the washer and dryer. Gives me enough light to store or find things I keep in there, do laundry, whatever I need to do without having to use the electricity. I just "click it" when I go in there and "click it" again when I leave. Not on constantly so the batteries will last a long time and have.I bought a set for my sister and she took it a step further and installed her set "inside her lower kitchen cabinets"! What a wonderful idea! You can hardly see what's in these bottom shelves much less retrieve it! My lower kitchen cabinets are very dark & have those corners that you can't even get to (they needed the turn-table devices installed when built) so my lower kitchen cabinets are going to be illuminated too and very shortly!I thought about the products with motion detection but read that might tend to drain the batteries quicker (thanks to another reviewer!) since they would constantly be coming on/going off when the doors were opened for the cabinet or when walking into the room so decided against that feature and why it is not reviewed.This is a great product that has a lot more uses then kitchen cabinets. Anywhere you may have a dark nook, book shelves, workshop or area that just needs a light once in a while - these work great and no electricity is required, very portable and flexible to use. I even thought these would work in boats that have those areas under the hull and along the sides for storage. I personally really enjoy having these - for me just made life a little bit brighter in the right areas!

These lights were really great in my kitchen. I put them under the quartzite overhang and they illuminate the stone beautifully. I also put some under upper cabinets for a little bit of light.

I am really happy with these lights. They are super simple to install wherever; I used them in my kitchen under the cabinets and inside the cupboard for extra, soft lighting. They are easy to cut down to size if needed. I mainly use them when prepping meals, especially in the winter when daylight is short and I need a little extra light.

I have spent the last two years completely renovating the inside of our 50 year old hippie houseboat, a labor of love.The last thing to do was the kitchen area, doing the backsplash and figuring out lighting in a space with very few power outlets. I had already installed two puck-type lights under the cabinets, with a remote. They are awful, not enough light and they work when they feel like it.And then I remembered watching Shark Tank some years back, and the camping lights that the guys had pitched, and Mark Cuban picking them up....my research began in earnest!OMG WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! We went with the 5000k daylight, as the interior of the boat can be quite dark; it is in a covered slip in the marina.The Luminoodles are so easy to install, went up in just minutes. I had read reviews and saw where other people had installed trim to mount them behind, so that they weren't getting the light right in their eyes. I quickly miter cut some quarter-round trim for both the front and sides of the cabinets, pre-drilled my nail holes, put a couple of coats of paint on and put them up. The lights were stuck to the narrow flat backside of that trim, a perfect fit, as you can see in the video. This little extra step will make all the difference in the world if you are doing under-cabinet lighting, as you want the lights to the front pointing towards the back.We also installed several sets up in the beams of the ceiling, facing towards the rear of the boat, so when we are sitting in the salon at night the light is not directly in our eyes. We actually sat in the boat last night using only Luminoodles for illumination, and it was so relaxing.This form of lighting is so sexy and chic! I am redoing our home kitchen in 2021, and will be installing the same ones there.I'm hoping that they come out with longer light strands, that have the same type of battery box.There are so many uses for these lights, we are sold for life!If you enjoyed my review, please click that helpful button below.

These lights are pretty nice, easy to set up and have great holding power. I hung them under my kitchen cabinets and along the panty door frame. They are bright - initially. However, the batteries they come with are weak, and the lights go from bright to dim in less than 24 hours. Will try them with a few name brand batteries and see how well the illumination last. UPDATE: Switch to Energizer batteries and still these lights do not last longer than 24 hours before becoming ridiculously dim. If you need a light on for a few seconds - like to find your cereal in the pantry - buy them. The lights I put in my pantry the day after I received them (1/30/2023) still work great, but I only use those lights for a few seconds, once or twice a day at most. If your looking for counter light for food prep or display, pass on these and get something with better [battery] longevity. These ain't it! :(

The lights are super easy to set up, install, and can cut them to the size you need. For the size, they are surprisingly bright. Great product for a good price

These lights are great. They were very easy to put up & add just the right amount of light!

These are excellent if you don't leave the lights on for extended periods of time. I left them on for a few hours one evening and they dimmed quite quickly because of that, I assume because the batteries are getting low. I'm going to invest in more rechargeable batteries to avoid having to repurchase batteries all of the time.Installation is easy and they stay adhered very easily! The 3M strips are high quality.
