great in a cooler, not so great in open air like a buffet table
Love these things , they would be great for camping or in a cooler or thermal bag. They melt pretty quickly (2-4 hours) in open air which is unfortunate. One has ripped out of five from constant use so use sparingly. once filled they shouldn't be dumped because they come with powder inside that makes the water gel up. So they will be heavy and bulky for travel after the first use.

Stays Cold
Loved these. Used them on a motorcycle camping trip to keep items cold in my cooler bag. 100 degree heat and these stayed cold/ frozen longer than expected.

Stays frozen for hours. I use them to lay on for migraines. Love that I don't have to change them out during the night.

Better than advertised
I work in the mountains and can't leave my job site for 12 hours. I have an hour and a half commute each way. I needed something to keep my drinks ice cold for at least 15 hours. These things blew my mind. I pulled 4 of them out of the ice chest after 32 hours and I left one in. They were all still firm at that time. The one I left lasted nearly 48 hours and when I pulled it out there was still a hard frozen lump in the middle and it was still cold. These are unbeatable for price, quality and satisfaction.

No instructions
I got two sets of these freezer bags from two different companies. I picked up this set second and I am glad that it was the second set I got. This set did not come with instructions of what I was suppose to do with them to activate the chemicals. But because the first set did, I was able to follow those instructions. My first set also came with a funnel (this one did not) which was super helpful in filling the packets. I do feel that they didn't stay as cold as my ice bottles do and for as long. But they are nice to have for trips and to not have to worry about ice melting and having water in your coolers.
