Neat little knife.
Really good little knife for the price. The blade takes a great sharp edge, and the sheath is unexpectedly good. It is very small, like a pocket fixed blade. The thin blade stock and scandi grind makes it cut very well. Better heat treat than the stuff from Condor.

Fantastic & Versatile Little Blade
Every outdoors type person can benefit from this well made and super affordable knife. Compact, lightweight and easily carried, the robust and sharp little blade can accomplish most camping or bushcrafting tasks. Like all BPS knives , it comes with a very sturdy leather sheath that allows for different carry options. Just remember to keep a little oil on the blade to prevent rust.

Remarkable.
This knife is absolutely fantastic. I love it. Definitely a super good value as well. Came very sharp. Not quite hair splitting sharp but a couple strops on some green compound and it cuts like a laser beam. I made some ghetto fab micara scales for it and scalloped the spine. Gave it a forced parina. Added an ulticlip It was a fun little project and is now my everyday carry. I live in a tent in the woods in the Pacific Northwest so I'd like to think I know a thing or two about knives and this little guy is awesome. My second BPS. the other I've had half a decade and it's still going strong. Highly recommend. The leather sheath and the bolt on scales full tang make it superior to the Mora by a long shot.

Great budget knife
I only own a few knives and this is one of my favorites. I don't think you can beat it for the money. It's well made, has a very nice sheath and came very sharp. I bought it for whittling/carving and food prep which it's very good for. The blade does need to be oiled after it's used a bit to prevent rust but that doesn't bother me. The handle is very comfortable but I'm going to sand it to make it a bit smoother. Overall an excellent small fixed blade knife.

Great knife, sheath is lacking.
Just got this little fella. Super sharp right out of the box. I think this will make a great little companion knife to something just a bit larger. The fit and finish on mine is pretty good except for the fasteners that hold the scales sit proud, and I think over time, could cause hotspots on my hand. The real issue with this knife is the leather sheath. The leather is very thin and extremely soft. I managed to put the tip of the knife through the sheath on accident when I seated the knife in the sheath. It’s not the end of the world or anything but my brand new knife now has a small hole in the end of the sheath. If it weren’t for the seemingly cheap sheath, the knife would get 5 stars.

Delightful Little Knife
A surprisingly delightful little knife. Very handy for a wide variety of tasks. Good edge retention. Very sharp out of the box. Easy to maintain the edge - a little work with a fine stone and a strop brings it to another level. Very highly recommended. Great value for money.

The best puuko in this price range period.
The steel of 1065 should be the only ding you could give this thing. There is nothing wrong with 1065 on a scandi grind and if you know how to sharpen a knife, there aren't many easier to sharpen. The sheath is not amazing but it is certainly free when you consider the total price here, I can not complain. It holds the knife and protects the user. For value there is no comparison, you can't beat this combo. It is up there with a mora, with a leather sheath, full tang, and the aesthetics make it the clear winner. I can't say enough good things about BPS knives. It should be noted that a Puukko is a small knife. Don't get this thinking it is a full size knife. This is like a parring knife in the kitchen.

Nice knife... For the money.
For $22.00, the BPS Finn-Lite is a good knife. But not a “great” one. Came as described, and it came early! So that was nice. And it comes well packed, with some branded, polishing paper cloth, and a nifty, lightweight leather sheath—(without a belt loop?! Aaaggghhh! But more on that later.) About the knife. Looks great coming out of the sheath, the grind on the satin finish blade is visible and not mirror finished, and it IS a “budget” offering from BPS, so I understand them skipping the final polish and buff, and they did a nice job of making it consistent, and good looking. So no issues there. And it cuts. The profile is decent, with a nice secondary bevel, on a full-Scandi grind. NOT “shaving” sharp out of the box, but sharp enough to swipe cut standard newsprint… With a few minutes on a wet wheel or good stone, will make it pop hairs. The 1066 steel is a nice choice for this price level, and should give good service, time will tell. The blade is slightly thinner, than their other puuko style, and could be a bit thicker, but it’s more a of a medium duty, “craft” and EDC Pukko, similar to the Brisa brand “Crafter” pukko, which is more than twice the price. The slightly slimmer blade makes for easier cutting, but you don’t want to be prying open paint cans with it…. The blade is excellent for general woodcraft, and edc use, and I wouldn’t feel at a loss if this was my only knife at bush camp. It would handle 80% of “Bushcraft” chores—short of chopping and batoning. The handle seems to be made out of some sort of ash, and came pretty rough. You could see visible sanding marks, and the cut edges around the screw bolts were a little rough and spintery. So I took some fine sandpaper, and then some steel wool to work out all of the grind marks and rough spots, cleaned up the screw holes with an exacto knife and sanded off the light, sticky “finish” that was on there. After the final sanding- I hit it with some linseed oil, and the ash was very porous and sucked up the oil… So again, to save on costs, they basically skimped on the final sanding and finish- I understand. Could have used it as is and it would have been just fine—but I like a more finished feel. So if you don’t mind doing a lttle touch up-it’s not to big of a deal. Now the sheath.. Put a belt loop on it! For Pete’s sake. It’s too big for a neck knife, and the three “mounting holes” on the sheath are JUST SLIGHTLY TOO SMALL, both in diameter, and spacing, to fit standard mounting screws and clips?! So now I have to rig a way to carry it… PITA. Other than that— A good, and useful knife, that should last a long while. But not a great one.

Coltellino fantastico.
