LISTEN UP...THESE ARE WORTH IT!!!
UPDATE 2/26/25 STILL 5 STARS These hearing aides are so worth it. I finally changed my wax filters and ear pieces FOR THE FIRST TIME. The receivers were CLEAN AS A WHISTLE. I finally after 3 months had a muffled sound and realized I had not changed out my earpiece or filter. Such a good product that the sound quality stood up to my wax level, and daily wear. CHANGE YOUR FILTERS AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH. I got lazy to be honest...but the sound quality of these aides is excellent. I did finally submit my hearing test that I did at an ENT physician hearing test from Jan 2024, I submitted this via scan and email and my hearing aides were fully dialed in at that time. That adjustment was done in December. I have worn hearing aides for 42 of my 47 years on this earth. I have bought many...many pairs of hearing aides, amplifiers, headphones, and bluetooth devices. I have bought hearing aides over the internet, gone to a hearing aide seller, and also been to an ear nose and throat doctor. THESE ARE THE EASIEST, MOST CONVENIENT, BEST VALUE I HAVE EVER BOUGHT. For reference my hearing level is severe, so I only hear at about 35-40% in both ears. My last hearing aide purchase was in 2020, through a hearing aide vendor. I spend $4000 for a pair of rechargeable fairly well respected aides...that wore out their charge in only 3.5 years. hence why I bought these. Jabra is a well known bluetooth and headset company. I was skeptical about hearing aides since the FDA deregulated and you can get them easier. I was skeptical about the price and the quality. I was skeptical if they would work with my hearing level and if I'd need to go get a physical hearing test. ALL OF MY SKEPTICISM IS GONE. The hearing aides come fully charged. The case is not fully charged but does not take long at all to charge. The case holds DAYS of charge. I wear hearing aides for 16-18 hours a day. The fact that my case is charging my hearing aides without them plugged into the wall IS A HUGE CONVENIENCE. The case also has a mag seal so the aides are well protected. THE CASE IS NOT WATERPROOF (which would be nice but it's not a dealbreaker.) The recommendation is to download the app and take the hearing test on the app. Not everyone has noise cancelling headphones and this will determine how the hearing aides are programmed. If you have a physical printout of a hearing test you can scan this and email it to the audiologist as well and they will adjust the hearing aide remotely. I highly recommend an in person hearing test via an ear nose and throat physician or audiologist if you have never had one. If you have not had a recent hearing test but have had one in the last 2 years you may be able to suffice using the hearing test on the app. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW AMAZING IT IS TO HAVE AN AUDIOLOGIST UPDATE YOUR HEARING AIDES. Most hole in the wall mall plaza hearing aide shops have a "hearing specialist" that is not an audiologist...they follow prompts and use computer programs and most people have to go back and forth for their hearing aides to be adjusted. I had planned to send my last hearing test but didn't have the time so I took the app hearing test. I got a new program dowloaded to my aides within 12 hours to an improvement in sound quality. Then I worked and lived life for a week to get an idea of what further sound adjustments I'd need. I sent another request via the Jabra App to the audiologist. The Jabra program and audiologist support is so fast and so responsive I was blown away. My second adjustment came within 72 hours. The videos and orientation that come with the hearing aides is clear and concise. I have a 3 year warranty and audiologist support which is SO IMPORTANT. These are such a good value and a good product. I will update in 3 months.

Borderline Perfect!
Like millions of other people, I was in denial about my hearing loss for much of my adult life. High-frequency sound has eluded me for years. Come to find out, much mid-frequency stuff as well. While I could have held on to my "selective hearing loss" (according to my wife) forever, I finally took the OTC hearing aid route. I am glad that I did. As a long time Apple product user, I first took the route of investing in the new AirPods with the hearing aid function. They work pretty darn well, and their software can administer a diagnostic hearing test, very nearly as accurate as one would get from a clinical audiologist examination. The results of the test set up a profile that makes them work as true hearing aids. Not being someone who has been used to wearing bright white, shiny, fully visible devices sticking out of my ears though, convinced me to relegate them to occasional use (great for noise cancelling when using power equipment, but geeky looking) With doctor-prescribed hearing aids coming in at two to three times as much, these $1700 devices are a real bargain. For that price, you get not only the hearing aids themselves, but also the storage/recharging case, lots of maintenance items, loss/damage insurance and a consultation via Zoom with a certified audiologist. There is also a 100 day no-questions-asked return policy. I've gone from doubting that I even needed them to daily usage, all day every day. They hold a charge for up to 18 hours. They're incredibly tiny and discreet. Their comfort is impressive, I am an eyeglass wearer, and there is no conflict whatsoever. They each will emit a short series of tones when first taken out of their charging case, making it easy to ensure that they are actually going into your ear canals properly. The four pre-set listening modes are easy to switch between, either from the phone app or on the devices themselves. You can even answer your phone by "double tapping" the top of your ear! I highly recommend them

Ongoing saga Read to the end!
1st review: Easy enough to set up but somewhat confusing; Jabra has multiple apps in the Play Store it would appear. As luck would have it I donloaded the wrong one (apparently a prior version) which didn't help. App appears somewhat lame, for example, you can define one (only one) profile for each profile category... but how do you set its name? How do you delete it if you decide you don't want it. Another thing they don't mention; the aids arrive, it is taking nearly two weeks to get the "custom setup" review with them! You are on you own until that happens. They do seem to have most of the features of a high end aid like Phonak but... it took me nearly a week to finally get the phone answering ability working (partically due to wrong app?) and the sound volume when I answer the phone is far too low. Price is certainly right about 1/3 the cost of comparable Phonak but, if it doesn't work as well is this an area you want to be saving money? 2nd review: interactive online meeting was great. They did an adjustment over internet & sent me a new set of longer wires which eliminated r ear pain. Loving them! Score goes to 5 stars! 3rd review: trouble! Connection to aids from phone/app keeps dropping on one or other aid. I check in morning when putting aids on that both are recognized. Later will answer a call & only hear it in one ear! Appears only way to correct is to turn aid off... which requires the charger, which I don't carry around. Desperately need a switch on aid to turn off or reset. Stars dropped to 2. Serious flaw! 4th review: DON"T buy if you are looking for Auracast compatibility (I was). They claim to be Auracast compatible. It's what they don't tell you that will bite you. Auracast broadcasts on 3 frequencies, public at 16 & 24kHz and Personal at 48kHz. These aids only support low-quality, public, but you will find that most (all?) home broadcast units (those you hook to a TV, computer, pad, etc.) broadcast at 48 because they want to deliver the highest quality. After 3 months of looking I have yet to find an Auracast transmitter that will work with these aids!

Works well, has Android issues
I am very happy with the quality of the hearing correction, the battery life, the ease of use and customer service. I never expected them to make my Samsung hands free, but sometimes my phone seems to be looking for a microphone that is not there (even though I am talking into the handset) and people on the other end cannot hear me talk. This has happened less lately.

Great hearing aid and workaround for the Bluetooth problem I experienced.
I had a Stark pair of in the ear hearing aids that I had used for eight years. I had paid $5000 from them from a local audiologist. I’ve had these about 90 days and the hearing quality is better than other hearing aid I had. I have better hearing. I have more control over them because of the app I have on my phone to control the volume and environment. By environment, I mean, if I’m in a restaurant, I change it to restaurant mode and it cancels out the background noise and helps me focus on the sound in front of me. I can turn them up or down very simply from the app on my phone. The bad thing about them is that the Bluetooth part of them interferes with my bluetooth headset in the office and in the car. I’ve developed a workaround for this. Talking with clients through the hearing aids is not really good. But I found a solution to that. Just turn off the Bluetooth functioning of them while you’re in the car or in the office when I need to use other Bluetooth technology with which I have problems. This is how you do it. You turned it off from the phone instead of trying to work with it on the app. I have an iPhone 15. Open up settings and open up “Accessibility”. Then find “Hearing Devices”. Open up the hearing aids, which will come up at the very top of the page in blue. There are three buttons. “Stream to the right hearing device”. “Stream to the left hearing device“. “Adjust independently”. Turn these three buttons off. When I get in my car, I turn them off and they don’t interfere with my BMW’s Bluetooth. I do the same thing when I’m in the office. The rest of the time I have those three different buttons on because I like to listen to music or YouTube through my hearing aids. In summary, I really like the hearing aids. I enjoy the control I have over them with the app and then when I’m in a restaurant or walking outside. But I don’t want to talk to clients through the Bluetooth on the phone through the hearing aids or have them interfere with my cars Bluetooth. If I could not have turned that off, I would’ve returned them. My audiologist offered me a pair of hearing aids for $8,000. These costs $1,850 and work better than my last $5,000 hearing aids. But I had to find a workaround to the Bluetooth problem. It sounds like a win-win to me.

Find if you live in a very dry environment!
The hearing aids have great blue tooth capabilities but always a pause before picking a call up. The sound is very good but the restaurant setting really did not help at all. The worst part is that these hearing aids are very finicky with regards to moisture. I work outside in the south and just humidity outside made these start to crackle. Unbelievably annoying. I was told to take them out and put them in a dry box . So I’m to go without hearing while these dry. My Audicus hearing aids never did that. I returned these because I’m outside all year and I have to have hearing aids I can wear without having to listen to crackling. My experience with customer service was that they hire subcontractors who don’t follow through with their updates. When I contact jabra and wait -at least 20 minutes-they don’t seem to be able to help me or have access to the emails I sent them. The entire experience was very frustrating.

Insufficient customer service
The sound quality was great but I could not ever get it to work with my phone to receive phone calls and notifications through the hearing aids. And the customer service was almost zilch. I waited 5 weeks and finally called him and said I wanted to return them

Easy to use and helps a ton!
I'm hard of hearing one of my ears, while the other is much closer to "normal", but I didn't think it was a problem that needed a hearing doctor and $8,000+ worth of hearing aids. (Why the heck do they cost so much!?!) It got to the point where I was asking people to repeat themself that I wanted to see if there was a better solution out there and I found these and they have worked really well! Pros: * Super easy to use - download the app, create an account, pair the hearing aids, adjust the volume, and you're done. I was up and running on Christmas Day without any issues * Great sound quality - These work perfectly. I only used one when I first started, but quickly found the ear I thought was good wasn't as good as I thought. I have used both in noisy situations (like weddings and restaurants) and put the "good" ear down to 5 or 10. I don't need much, but that little bit helps. * The App - I find being able to adjust the hearing aids as needed to be a plus. Loud restaurant? Turn it up a little. Quiet movie theater? Turn it down a little. Super easy to use. * Fit - I've never had other hearing aids so I don't know what to compare them to but I wear them for hours at a time and I forget they are in. At first, they were itchy but that went away quickly. They are really light weight and I can't tell they are in other than I can suddenly hear people better. * Cost - less expensive than the "other ones" but seem to be just as good! * The case also charges them - there is a battery in the case that can recharge these when you are away from a plug. Works without issue. Cons: * The app does take time to learn. I know my elderly father would struggle with that but if you can use a smart phone, you can use these. * Pairing and turning on can be finicky - I've had it where I didn't use the hearing aids for a few days and when I took them out, they didn't ding or seem to turn on right away. I just replaced them, waiting for the solid light, then took them out again and they worked as expected. The same goes for pairing with my phone. I've had about once a month where one didn't pair with my phone and I had to put it back into the case and take it out and then it worked. It happens so infrequently that I'm keeping them, but it is annoying when that happens right when I'm running late. * Cleaning - you put these in your ears so you'll want to clean them. I don't know of any fix for this but it is a con that you can't just throw these into a solution overnight and wake up to clean hearing aids in the morning.
