There are all sorts of big name copies of this sealant, however this product is low tech, but really does the job and seals well. Uses thick bitumastic sealant adhesive layer, with a strong, weather & sun resistant aluminium backing. Will stick well to cleaned surfaces. Easy to use - better when warm weather, although can be a bit messy - white spirit will cleanup.

Used this in conjunction with the tar/paint and it has worked beautifully. We have had a couple of really heavy downpours since the roofer installed it and would recommend the 2 products used together as a really good way to stop leaks.

I was desperate for a quick repair and wasn't expecting miracles but this product really did the trick. I made extensive repairs to a badly torn and cracked galvanised flashing. The material didn't seem particularly sticky but I gave it a good press in place with a small seam roller and it adhered well to the rough weathered surface. It has now been in service for about two months and has endured rain and high winds without becoming detached. I suggest that anyone using this leave it in a warm place to soften it before using.

Only just got around to leaving a review to see if the tape held up ok and it is still where I put it!!Bought this tape to seal the edges of an old roof that is 10+ years old. the original seal with the wall was starting to come away in odd places so the tape was used to go over the old roof and brick work.How I used it.... I used it on a really hot sunny day, I left it out in the sun for a couple of hours to warm up. the brickwork and roof it went onto was also hot..... To start i tried using rubber gloves to handle it.... big mistake!! It stuck to the latex gloves like mad so soon scrapped them and used bare hands.I was cutting it with scissors but that is also a pain so I switched to a stanley knife blade and that was far easier.Cut off how much you need and peel of the backing tape ( this tended to grab in some areas and pulled off some of the black mastic material but there was still a lot left on the tape.I used a small roller to apply the tape to the wall and roof and get a good seal. If for some reason you drop it and touch something with the tape you shouldn't it will grab hold of everything and be a pain to get off so be careful.It is a little fiddly to use as it sticks like mad ( when warmed up ) I did apply it on a hot day and it is still where I put it so see what happens when it winter sets in.

Sealant really easy to use and dispense, but messy if sealant is pressed too hard as my granddaughters partner found out (he didn’t listen to me).Sealing tape is really easy to lay and pressing down firmly to make it adhere to rooking felt.The felt wasn’t played correctly in the first place and had separated from the plywood so edges needed to be sealed down during the cold weather.

This, supplied, product is a shame. It does not work. It is either duff, or is well out of date. There is no way to find out.I have waited until this weekend to carry out repairs. Prepared the site, ready to "go".Just opened the package to use, one month after purchase, and found it is/was useless. Backing cellophane, just came away.Hours of my time lost and access to alternative items reduced, on a Sunday afternoon. Nobody else, perhaps, wisely, seems to NOT to sell this rubbish.Shocking, stuff, do not buy.

Ich hatte mir vorgestellt ein Band aus Blei zu bekommen. Es ist aber ein Band aus einer teerartigen Substanz, die super zum abdichten im Außenbereich geeignet ist. Für meinen Zweck wäre ein Band aus Blei erforderlich gewesen, darum kann ich den gelieferten Artikel nicht gebrauchen.
