Good set for older people

Good, but no instructions
Could have been the ideal phone for pensioners (and anybody elese for that matter). Big buttons, large display for those with dodgy eyesight, as loud as you need or want, comfortable in the hand, and generally easy to set up without instructions for those familiar with setting up phones. But no wonder the item page says, that the product is "Frequently returned." It's slightly unnerving when you first plug it in, especially if you're setting up three in the same room. Out of the box it's set up to max volume and for a light to flash when receiving a call. Picture 3 phone ringing at max volume and flashing like a strobe, all at the same time. Reducing the volume's easy but the flashlight? There's no paper instruction manual included - you have to find it on the web (which isn't difficult.) You can't turn off the strobe light from any menu, instead you have to enter a code for which you will need instructions. {Menu-#-345}. Another code you might want is {Menu-#-200} which lets you answer the call without having to press the green button. The manual is 84 pages long with dozens of codes for fancy features. The two codes above were all I needed. If you're expecting a phone you can just plug in then this might achieve that but really needs a bit of tweaking to make it ideal. Having written about the negatives, I've got to say I love this phone - best one I've ever had. (By the way, my box contained a lead to connect it to a standard BT socket.)

Pretty good, satisfied with the pnone
Happy with the phone. Easy to use, big buttons, and the sound both for this phone user and the external caller is nice and clear. You have to download the manual from the Panasonic web site but it's not difficult to find. Once you've done that setting up the wide variety of configuration options is easy. I've set them to my preferences so very happy with how it operates.

Panasonic have gone downhill - Had to replace batteries in all three handset and constant errors
As a long time Panasonic fan, these phones are terrible, I have had to replace the supplied batteries within one month of purchase. The unit frequenty and erroneously reports the batteries are flat even when they are fully charged. The automated voice call notificaiton is unreliable and often does not read out the names of callers despite being in the phone book. The handset quality is very cheap and plasticky compared to the panasonic dect phones of old.

Poor value for money.
Wish we had stuck with our previous device. The sound quality is not good and we have found it impossible to follow the instructions to make the phone ring more than once when someone phones. It rings ONCE and then the light flashes. Would not recommend this phone.
