I purchased this product specifically to filter return air grilles, but I am sure that it would also work on the forced air registers if I wanted. I found this air filter incredibly easy to cut and install, and I love that it can be adjusted to fit any size. I have non-standard size return air grilles that I used this product on, and I've noticed a significant reduction in dust in my home. The quality is solid, and I feel like I got a good value for the price. Overall, I’m pleased with my purchase and recommend it to similarly situated individuals.

The Electrostatic Air Vent Filter Roll is a perfect, cost-effective solution for improving air quality rather than buying filters every month. It noticeably reduced dust and allergens in our house. I trimmed the filter for various vents, and one of my purifiers…was easy. Importantly, airflow and energy use did not seem affected. THUMBS up! I would recommend this for forgetful savers and allergy sufferers seeking customizable filtration without increasing filter costs.

I used these to put on my portable air conditioner, I have multiple cats and had to keep opening it up to pull hair out. These worked great, it kept hair and dust out. It was easy to swap out for a new one, the air flow was good.

The material is of proper thickness to use for filtration. However the velcro strips used to secure the filter do not work well. I will have to secure it with some other material. I put it in place a couple of times and the filter media came loose. I will have to manufacture something to keep it in place. Bottom line, the media is good, the material to secure it is not! Cutting it is also a bit of a challenge. I would hesitate to purchase this again.

This is exactly what I wanted. It came in a box and inside was a large square folded white filter that's 20 inches by 100 inches long enclosed in a plastic bag. It does have those stickers, which I won't use. I plan to use part of it as an air filter for my window fan(s) when I don't use the central A/C and to cut up strips for my four Holmes air cleaners. I bought the pre-cut strips from a box store a while back and these are exactly the same. I do re-wash the ones I have in my Holmes air filters even though it doesn't say you can wash them. I've done it many times and they come out fine wash after wash, although I do have a mesh pre-filter on top of it. They are durable and do a great job of filtering air, but it does not have a MERV air efficiency number. They work well. I would buy these again.

Like other reviewers, I found that adhesive tape, including that included in the kit, does NOT stick to the filter material. However, the felt material of the filter sticks very strongly to the hook side of the Velcro strips. So my advice would be just make sure you attach the HOOKS side of the Velcro to your vent, and then stick the filter onto the Velcro directly, without bothering with the loops side of the tape. I made the mistake of wasting a bunch of the included tape by attaching the wrong side. Also, I'd advise cutting a larger piece of filter than you think you need, and attach it hanging a little loose over an area a little larger than the vent itself. I think this makes it less likely to come free due to airflow through the vent.

Between the filter media, and the velcro pads assortment... it's a bargain. I'll have enough material to make literally dozens of filter pads. Stuck one in my bathroom vent fan to keep "material" from clogging up the blades and housing. When was the last time you cleaned yours! :O
