Tree-mendous value for the money. Tough and durable, does what it says.
I recently bought some property where the previous owner did no tree maintenance whatsoever. There were three trees in particular where dead or dying branches threatened to fall on the house or garage. I did tree work when I was younger, started as a ground helper as a summer high school job, then moved on to be a climber and worked my way through college doing that. So i decided to save money and do it myself. First thing i did was go to the landscaping store where my old job bought their gear. I was shocked how expensive basic climbing gear was. So I figured I’d give Amazon a try and came across these. No complaints on quality and value..They’re strong and sturdy, spikes sharp right out of the package and come with basic safety rigging. Not fancy, but what I needed to get the job done at a reasonable price. I was a little surprised that they kinda minimize the experience and training required to work with this equipment safely. It’s pretty much limited to “well practice on a small tree before a big one”. So if you’ve never climbed before, put aside your Spider-Man or lumberjack fantasy and be careful! That aside, you’re not going to to better for the price. Definitely recommend.

Tree climbing equipment
Cheaply made, not great functionality

Loose spike bolts
They're fine but by now means deserve 5 stars. Poor quality. The bolts holding the spikes to the boot loosened right after initial testing on a tree.
