Great Size Box for Storing Patio Furniture Cushions
I just put this 150 gallon box together after delivery. It looks as if it will hold up well. I was able to follow the instructions for assembling the box, but the lid locking latch and bar was not easy to follow to get it so the screw holes would line up properly. (Lack of close up detail in the manual). I took the recommendation in the manual and came inside to watch the YouTube assembly instructions. Easy-peasy after that. I still have to attach the lid latches and put the lifting shocks on, but need another person to do this so the lid doesn't fall down in the process. That will happen today. Only issue I had with the box was a small void in the plastic from manufacturing on the edge of the front right where the front and right side overlap. I had to use my utility knife to cut a small piece of plastic that was protruding in order to get the side to fit properly. The void was so small and is on the inside of the overlap from the side piece, so I'm not worried about it. Assembly requires a few hand tools and a battery powered driver and drill are helpful. This storage box will be used for winter storage of patio seat cushions and a few sundry items during the warm weather.

Good Product
Well built nice looking product. If I had one wish - maybe a little more heavy duty. It will do fine. Easy to assemble. One lid hinge shock broke while assembling. I reached out to the company - they shipped a N/C replacement within 2 days. 6 of the bolts supplied with nuts would not thread. I went to Home Depot and replaced them. All in all I would recommend. Great customer service..

Seems durable
Assembling the unit and installation was a one-person job. It does require some hand strength. It has survived its first summer and winter in Northern California without showing any surface degradation.

The 3 Most Dreaded Words...Awful Instructions
...Some Assembly Required. What an odyssey! The journey began with a bad omen: UPS delivered the deck box in what at one time must have been a shipping box. It was so badly tattered that was where no more than a collection of cardboard strips. I should have taken the hint. Being the intrepid type I journeyed on.After dragging the thing to the back deck it became immediately obvious that all the hardware was missing. What to do?Called Amazon and asked them just to send a hardware kit. “No can do.” The solution is to send a completely new unit. I am to remove the hardware, reseal the carton, and have UPS pick it up.Adding to the joy, it poured down rain last night and what was once something that resembled a shipping carton is now nothing more that a sopping wad of paper. Maybe I shall just put the mess on the front porch and have UPS pick it up as is and keep the new unit.Moving on: BEWARE of Step 2.2 & 2.3 (page 15 & 16 of manual). Positioning the metal Lid Support is a nightmare. Neither the Video (which for the most part is pretty good) nor the printed Assembly Instructions adequately identify the critical positioning of the Lid Support (Part# EZA) so that the Lid Locking Tab (Part# EYY) is set correctly. We found out only after we completed the box assembly.Today, we are going to attempt to flip/reposition the Lid Support without disassembling the entire Lid (Part# AND). This process includes removing the 6 screws (Part# BCK). What a mess!

Cannot withstand sunlight -- the top lid has shrunken and warped beginning after only 7 months...
This was formerly a five-star review..now it is one-star.The top lid is made of a very cheap grade of plastic, apparently without UV stabilizers, and so the chemical plasticizers have apparently begun evaporating out of the plastic and it then it started to shrink. As the shrinkage continued, the screws connecting the metal framing strip at the front of the lid got ripped out of the holes in the lid. With more than 40 years living and recreating in sunny Florida, I have never seen a poorer example of plastics engineering for outdoor products. I expected my kid's cheap plastic outdoor toys to disintigrate after a few years -- but all of them lasted longer than this.CLEARLY DEFECTIVE. Now what? I can apparently have the lid replaced under the 10 year warranty, but will I have to do that year-after-year?Dear Lifetime, please make sure that your plastics engineering team sees this review, as well as my excellent original review. This problem is on them and your reputation is being ruined.====================ORIGINAL FIVE-STAR REVIEW=================Headline: Excellent design -- instructions could be better. The box itself is great. Very solid design and construction. There were several places in the instructions where it wasn't immediately clear which fasteners should be used, and I found myself reading and re-reading until it was clear. This is a minor complaint and it was partly on me because I was in a hurry while building it.The one most important thing to note is that you MUST use a socket wrench on the four 'dimpled' nuts that hold the hinges to the box. The thread-locking feature of these nuts requires a lot of torque to tighten them.
