I was a little unsure about a 5" mattress, but this one really surprised me. Even though it’s thinner, it feels just as supportive and comfortable as thicker mattresses I’ve owned. It has a slightly firm feel, which I personally prefer, and it holds its shape really well. With some 5" mattresses, you can feel the platform or slats when you sit or lie down but that’s not the case here at all. This one feels solid and well-made, without any sinking or bottoming out. I’ve been sleeping comfortably and wake up feeling well supported. The price is phenomenal for the quality, and it honestly made me rethink traditional mattresses altogether. I’d never go back after this. It’s been a perfect fit for my low-rise platform bed, and I’m very happy with this purchase.

This mattress is amazing and the cooling gel, medium firmness is so comfortable. I’ve used this brand before and have never been disappointed. Every time I’ve recommended it to friends or family, they’ve loved them too It’s super relaxing and supportive, and I’m getting good restful sleep again after sleeping on my couch from Nov ng and accidently destroying my 7 year old previous Zinus. The price for the quality is outstanding and makes it even better. If you’re looking for a mattress that delivers comfort, reliability, and value, I highly recommend this one. However, if you do prefer a more soft one, this one does say medium firm, but I think it is a little closer too firm and there isn't a whole lot of sinking in it, but there never was in my previous one either even after 7 years, and at that age that truly shows it's durability level. I also have dogs that sleep with me and act rambunctious on it. I would say for the price, the ease of setup and the tiny box they send it in, the comfort level, and the durability level I don't think you can do better and I have even slept on those $10,000 mattresses.

I have the 12" and the 6" for myself and my toddler. They are both on the firm side, but not "like a rock" as other people have mentioned. If you're used to a super soft bed it will likely feel pretty firm initially, but it gets more comfy over time, in my experience. I prefer to let mine sit in a room to get their shape back for a day or two before use. I thought I liked a very soft bed but it turns out I like the medium-firm memory foam better. There was a slight off-gassing smell the first 24 hours, easy to open a window and turn a fan on. These are incredible quality mattresses for the price, door delivery, and ease of set up.

I ordered the Zinus 12-inch King Cooling Comfort Hybrid, and the mattress itself is amazing. It feels high-quality, supportive, and perfectly balanced for anyone who doesn’t like a bed that’s too soft or too firm. It arrived quickly, expanded well, and the comfort exceeded my expectations. My only complaint—and the reason for the 4-star rating—is the delivery experience. I clearly requested that the mattress be placed at the back of my house and leaned against the wall because I’m home with a 4-month-old baby and can’t move something this heavy on my own. I also didn’t want it sitting out front where someone could take it. Despite the instructions, the drivers ignored them and left the large box by the front door on a rainy day. There were two men, and from my camera I could see they had read the instructions and still chose not to follow them. The mattress itself is fantastic, but I really wish the delivery service had been more considerate.

This mattress is very firm but not too firm that you're in pain after sleeping on it. It didn't take very long to expand, there was no odd chemical smell, and it has an amount of softness to it as well which I really appreciate. The 8 inch is a lot bigger and wider in person than it looks online, so something to keep in mind before purchase if you have bedrooms that err on the side of being smaller. You definitely need a mattress covering for this if you care about maintaining cleanliness and have kids or pets. Can't reccomend enough for people with back pain! Really great deal for the price and I am very satisfied.

This is our first bed-in-a-box purchase, so we weren't sure what to expect. The bed came in squished in a bag. Once opened, the mattress expanded in about 24 hrs with no noticeable odor (which is impressive as my wife is pregnant and has a hyper sense of smell). The bed is much more firm than we were expecting. It's not uncomfortable, however very firm, despite it being listed as "medium". It's being used as a toddler bed, and he doesn't seem to mind. I would not recommend it for side sleepers, however it's fine for back/stomach sleepers.

After doing much research on mattresses and on the Zinus website I decided to purchase this mattress. Wow what a mistake I made!!!! I purchased this mattress five months ago. This is the worst mattress that I’ve ever owned. I know it says medium firm, but this thing is hard as a rock. The mattress gets harder and harder if that’s possible as time goes by. I purchased it in the end of September and now it is the end of February and I am so disappointed. I cannot even sleep on this bed. It is like sleeping on the concrete floor. I don’t know if I got a faulty mattress, but I am telling you and I never write reviews that this mattress is horrendous. I can no longer sleep on it. It is the hardest most uncomfortable mattress that I’ve ever owned. I guess you get what you pay for. How can a mattress after five months get harder and harder? Come on Zinus do better! Now I am stuck with this mattress until I can afford to buy another one! And I’m not in that position to buy another mattress right now so I’ve been sleeping on my couch. When I received the mattress, I opened the box and let it breathe and expand for well over 72 hours. The first night I slept on it. I thought it was hard, but as the months go by it gets hard harder and hard harder. So if you are looking for a mattress, that is hard as a rock, this is the mattress for you. I am very upset that this mattress is this hard! The only soft part of the mattress are the ends where you can sit on them and they are soft. Why can’t the whole mattress be like that? After reading many reviews and doing research, I am very confused on why my mattress is so hard. I am a person that never ever leave reviews but in this case, I know a good night sleep is worth a lot and if you purchase this mattress, that is not what you will receive. You will receive a bed that is made of concrete. Damn sleeping on the floor is more comfortable than this bed. Do not purchase if possible!! maybe mine is faulty. Something may be wrong with it because the reviews are pretty good but my review is it’s hard as a rock. Hopefully I can save some money and find a new mattress that I can sleep on. Do yourself a favor and do not purchase this mattress! Do better Zinus!! Very disappointed!!!!!!!

The mattress arrived right on time and was packaged neatly in a compact box, which made it easy to move and unpack. Once opened, it expanded quickly to its full size. It fits perfectly on my bed frame and feels incredibly comfortable just like the other reviews mentioned! I’m really happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, affordable mattres.
