I think it's a good first piggy bank for a five-year-old

This is very well made. My 5 year old is able to slide the glass and get to her money any time. And we love teaching budget and tithing at this age!

This piggy bank definitely met my expectations! I was looking for a three compartment piggy bank - one for saving, one for spending and one for giving - to help teach my four year old responsible money habits. I wanted a piggy bank that would allow her to clearly see how much money she had inside. At only four, she’s not yet old enough to grasp that a $5 bill represents 5 singles, so we’re using single dollar bills and I wanted her to be able to compare how much she has in each compartment. This piggy bank has more than fit the bill. It’s solidly constructed so I don’t have to worry about it breaking apart when she inevitably drops it. She’s able to get the money into the slots and easily remove the front in order to access the money. And it’s made money tangible and fun, which was what I was hoping for. I’ll be buying another for my son once he’s old enough. I recommend this product.

Great quality and so cute

Great bank for kids to learn about saving money towards different goals. However, the door slides open VERY easily, which means your kid's money falls out every time they want to look at their box. We are buying small swing locks to put on and hoping that the screws won't split the wood.
