VERY bright and works amazingly for night snorkeling
I bought these to use at night while snorkeling, and am quite impressed. The construction of this light is very sturdy and goes together quite solidly. They even included an extra 0 ring, which is a nice touch. The battery is a long lasting lithium 18650 that charges in a separate charger. This is really the best solution, which allows them to make the housing very strong and minimize ingress points for water by excluding a charging port. The whole assembly has a bit of weight to it, but the well-designed headband and support holds it firmly on your head or full-face snorkeling mask. It lit up the ocean in a tight beam very well, although it would be nice to have adjustable beam width. I will be using this light often now, as it is great for working on the car or in tight spaces too.

Excellent for use while Kayaking!
I am not a scuba diver, but I do actively kayak and often take overnight trips down river. I purchased this headlamp to assure that should I lose daylight before I reach my destination that I would have a source of illumination available to complete my journey by or to find an adequate site to camp. After ordering this headlamp but before it came in the mail, I found myself in exactly such a situation. During a kayaking trip of roughly 16 miles to a pre-planned camp site, we encountered some unexpected delays and wound up not making our camp until well after darkness had fallen. Having only a hand-held lantern available at the time, the final hour or so of the trip was extremely tedious, slow, and unsafe given the near total darkness and several downed trees in the water. When my headlamp arrived I decided to spend some time in my kayak moving down the same stretch of river after dark to see how much of an improvement in visibility I had compared to the hand-held lantern. This headlamp is so bright that making the trip after dark was barely an issue at all the second time around. It is brighter than the headlights on my van by far, and the river was fully illuminated in front of me for several hundred yards, making navigation far easier.I find that the plastic forehead support is somewhat uncomfortable, so I tend to wear this lamp over a hat of some kind. It is also somewhat heavy, but both of these minor inconveniences are small trade-offs for the additional safety and illumination that this head lamp provides. Being for scuba divers, I am confident that even if an emergency situation arose and the lamp were to get soaked that it would still be able to guide me safely to my destination.I also keep a few spare batteries (pre-charged and in a waterproof container) on hand in case the power were to run low, but so far this has not been required. Unless you plan on using this headlamp for several hours, a single battery seems to be enough to get the job done. After spending more than an hour out on the water with this headlamp on, I did not notice any dimming or signs that the power was beginning to wane.I would recommend this headlamp for anyone who is looking for an extremely bright, hands free source of illumination, especially when it will be used in or around the water.

Bright but not reliable
This lamp seems well made, heavy aluminium housing with double o-rings. The LED is very bright. But, with the battery cap fully installed the light would not turn on...I had to unscrew the cap about 3 turns to get it to work. Even then, the range was narrow, rotate the cap a bit and it goes off. I would not dive at night with this light...too unreliable for me. And its too heavy for night walking.

Pretty bright
So I got this for diving, not sure what to expect. I haven't dove with it yet. The ad says 100m depth and 1800 lumens, however the box says 1000 lumens (its still bright so thats fine). The issue is there are two different symbols on the box... one is a flag and says 232m (760~ft) which clearly is NOT the max depth as a diver cant even go that far. The other is a downward arrow that says 1.5m (5ft) which is no where near advertised, as well as would be a laughable depth for a diver. There is no instruction manual to tell you any specifics. The power switch seems a bit flimsy as others have stated, instead of just a normal switch for ON and OFF, they opted for a slider??? Which typically are used to adjust the brightness to a desired level... but is instead used for ON and OFF. Weird choice. Fits well and the bands will tighten down. Aluminum setup is nice, you can see the multiple o-rings inside the light and the light also includes additional o-rings. Headpiece contours nicely to my head. Comes with the battery and the charger for the battery, as well as a keychain light.

Too heavy, very uncomfortable
This was too bulky, heavy and uncomfortable to wear, it would hurt my forehead the 10 seconds I put it on and decided to return it.
