Picture frames. You can hang them on the wall or stand them up on something. They can be wooden, metal or made from another material. You can buy square ones, oblong ones, round ones and various other shaped ones. They can be plain or decorative. They can be cheap and cheerful (or cheap and nasty) or really expensive. What they certainly aren't is bland. Here's another possible one for your delectation.Internal measurement is 14½ x 11½in (35.5 x 28.5mm for those who work in only metric), though a fraction of this size is taken up by the removable frame that holds the glass in, so the total visible area is slightly smaller. What's unusual about this frame is that there's no cardboard backing. Instead, your picture is sandwiched between two sheets of glass. The idea here, I'm guessing, is that your picture 'floats' and your wall becomes the backing. Of course, if you use a picture the same size as the frame, that won't come into play.The light wooden, natural frame incorporates an alternative to hooks and twine strung between them in the form of a solid cord in situ that is all around the frame and also visible. This one won't come off. It actually makes the whole thing different and not unattractive. Included is a wooden cover that hooks onto the wall screw and hides it.I think this frame looks better in landscape orientation but whatever your choice, you're not going to be disappointed.

Such a bargain. Real wood with a cord to hang any way you like. This is so cool. It makes your photo 'float'Similar frames sell for a great deal more elsewhere (normally with a metal frame) but I prefer the natural look.Easy to use, but be careful when placing the picture - it's easy for it to be put in wonky!

This is a nice frame, well made,with good quality materials, and cleverly done, with the cord options. It isn't difficult to insert a picture, and is very easy to hang. It looks great in our newly decorated kitchen too.

The frame arrived extremely well packaged. It looks really stylish and have to say the product photo does not do it justice - has a sort of art deco look and would not look out of place showing some small fine art in a gallery. It is relatively light but feels sturdy. The wood surround is very light with a dark threaded cord that allows you to hang the frame in either portrait or landscape in an instant. Easy to slot a photo in and because of the added border, the picture really stands out. Very nice.

I have never seen a photo frame like this before: instead of fixings or stands at the back, it incorporates a cord around the periphery that you can use to hang it from the wall. The benefits of this are: it is easier to see what you are doing when hanging this, you can hang it so that it lies perfectly flat against the wall, and since you don't need a backing plate for the fixings, you can have a completely clear display window (apart from your picture of course) if you choose.You can hang this in either landscape or portrait orientation. Overall quality is good, and it looks nice. Thumbs up!
