Best Budget Smart Watch
Pebble Technology Corp Time 501-00020 Smartwatch (Black) First of all Thanks to Amazon for quick delivery and discount offer! Got it for just 7000/-!I am happy with this product. I wanted a smartwatch which will show me all the notifications, allow me to accept or reject calls , track my activities and show the time (of course) for under 10k range. I am iPhone user so I had to go for android wear or pebble. I have used moto 360 before and I was not that satisfied with it WRT the price ( 18k ). If you are looking for something really basic and dont want to spend a lot this is what you should be looking for. Its paired with your phone with Bluetooth. Takes 5 mins to setup ( downloads OS update at first time ). Very easy setup. You need to download Pebble app for your phone to pair the watch. Now with the overall features.1) Looks :- 2/5In my personal opinion its not the best looking watch. Looks kinda like a toy. Its all plastic and with big bezels. It has actually 2 bezels which looks kinda weird. Its not something you want to show off.2) Display :- 3/5It has color E-Paper display. Does not look that good when you compare it with android or apple watch. Not even close. But its always on display. You dont need to push any buttons or anything to turn on the display to check the time or notification which I really like about it. If you want to turn of back-lite just flick your wrist. Its very bright under direct sunlight. So no issues for that. But one issue I find is viewing angles. The display has curved glass on the top. So if you look from the sides you get reflections and which makes it unreadable3) OS looks :- 3/5The pebble time OS looks are very basic which I prefer. Easy to navigate, not too many convoluted settings or options. It has one button on the left side which acts like back button. If you long press it, it turns on silent mode which will turn off the vibration alerts. If you keep it pressed it will turn off the watch. 3 buttons of the right side. Middle button to enter into any menu and other 2 buttons to navigate. Sometimes I prefer these hardware buttons than touchscreen because I don't 'need to look at the watch while doing some tasks like switching tracks in music player, or dismissing notifications. One very annoying thing I find about it is unnecessary animations! Every time you get some notification it will show opening animation and then it will show actual notification. Every time you have to wait for animation to finish before you see the notification. Now you will be thinking what are you PM of India that you cant wait for few mili seconds. For that I would say you are spending 10k to save 2 secs of your time :P ( take our phone from your pocket and check the notifications ) . So yeah it matters a lot. I wish they provide a setting with which user can decide to allow the animations or not. Also when you enter the timeline feature pressing up or down button it doesn't show the time in the timeline mode. Then next thing is watchfaces. You have many different watch faces. But most of them look like s***. 4-5 out of them looks actually good on this display.4) Functionality :- 4/5This watch is best for this budget in terms of functionality! It will show all the notifications and allows to accept or reject calls. If you have android you can reply to msgs with pre configured msgs or using voice. This functionality is not there in iOS. Watch shows weather information. pebble has introduced Health app to track daily activities. The app will keep track of your steps ( shows distance walked in KM/Miles ), calories burned, total active time, Sleep tracking ( total time , deep sleep time, nap time). It shows the same information in the pebble app on your phone. App will show daily, weekly and monthly activity record. The activity tracking is not fully accurate it will measure false steps while you are riding on bike but its not that a big deal.Sleep tracking is near perfect. It has a music player controller app which allows start, stop, skip songs. Alarm app allows to set basic and smart alarms. You can set one time or scheduled alarms. Smart alarm will snooze in the give time frame (7-7.30 am). The vibration is loud and you can really feel it on your wrist. Other apps are timer and stopwatch which do what they are supposed to.You can download additional apps from pebble app store depending on your needs. There is a timeline view ( which I personally never use! ) which shows your daily agenda mostly your calendar tasks.5) Battery Life :- 5/5I am heavy smartphone user. I get many notifications so most of time the watch is active. I get 3-4 days of battery life with single charge. I am very happy with battery life. It takes 1-1.5 hrs to fully charger from low. You wont find this kind of battery backup in any other smart watch. So overall I am happy with this product. Its water resistant so I can use it when its raining. One thing you should be careful is this is not scratch proof. It gets scratched very easily. You have to use the charging cable provided by pebble so dont misplace it. The developer base is also not that strong. If you dont care for many apps you dont need to worry about it.Pros :-1) Battery life2) Always on Display3) Water Resistant4) Near perfect activity trackingCons :-1) Looks2) Annoying notification animations3) Viewing angles4) Inactive developer baseSo Should you buy it?If you are looking for something for low budget and for basic use. If you are looking for something which will show you notifications, call alerts, basic activity tracking then this is for you.If you want smartwatch to show off then NO! Dont buy this. This looks like a Toy watch! Is this a must buy?No! Smart watch is not a must buy at least for now. It may help in making your life easier but you can def survive without one. If you want to try it buy it.

Read this before buying.
Pebble time is a great device for people on the go. The ones who don't get time to pull their phones out and work endlessly. However I would say that it is also useful for people who are preparing for entrance exams as it helps in reducing mobile phone usage and limiting sleep. Now for the pros and cons.Pros:1. Excellent sleep tracker(very accurate)2. Very good display(nice colors)3. Plastic looks good4. Looks good(suit various occasions)5. Excellent watchfaces available on the app. The UI of the app is also pretty good.6. Excellent after sales support from pebble.7. Good battery life. (I've not been able to get more than 4 days)Many more but depend mainly on usage.Cons:1. Pedometer is not accurate. It's just not accurate. If u are looking forward for a fitness device I would suggest u to look for misfit or something similar.2. The bezels around the display get scratched very easily. Please take care of it or buy a skin.3. Some apps do not work when the phone is not connected(for ex ESPN,voice notes)4. Apple users have less advantages as compared to android users.5. The strap does not get rid of sweat easily so I have to remove the watch for a few mins after workout.6. Magnetic charger is delicate according to my usage.Overall it's a very nice product. I love it all over its cons because I don't really care about pedometer. Though my observations are that this product needs care and it cannot be used in a rough manner. So I will say go for it catiously. :) I have attached a photo which is after almost a month of usage.

It's sold to fit bit, but I don't care! I'm gonna enjoy it while it lasts :)
Well, everyone knows now that Pebble Co. is no more, It sold it's IP inventory to "Fit Bit" and has ceased its operations. So before you buy, bear in mind that you may not receive future updates and warranty assists... It's a sad thing to have happened to Pebble but it has happened nonetheless.Anyhow, now that mourning is out of the way, let's get to the device of interest. To be truthful, I have been eyeing it for a while but it's rather steep price, even for an all plastic unit, kept me at bay. And YES! I have bought it after the news, and after Amazon slashed it's prices. So I was aware of the risks I was taking.I felt that new price of 6k for "Pebble Time (color)" was decent enough to try it... as it still has life for another year or so before they completely pull off the chords. So, I wanted to experience this always 'ON' ePaper beauty while it lasted. So without a second thought, I bought it. And it got delivered on 1st week of Jan2017 . And since then I have been enjoying it quite a bit, more than what I expected I would. Now truth be told, It might not be for everybody and not everyone might like it, but for the few who are enamored by its character, I would suggest them to go for it... And here are my reasons. It was one of the very first startups to get the wearable technology right... Even before Moto 360 was a craze/thing (which by the way I also own). It was one such companies that dared to think different and went for an always ON ePaper display rather than LCD & OLED. Where all other smartwatches just appear to be dead and blackfaced, this lill thing teems with color and life. And this adds character to it...Now, don't go by the notion that this will be dead done and dusted in sometime, oh no! This has huge following in the underground nerd net... And soon someone will come up with the required Apps to keep it going, it had so much app support and watch faces even before applewatch and Androidware. And this dedication will keep it alive...Well, got bit sentimental there... Now back to reality and it's pros and cons...PROS:- Always On display...- A week of battery life.- Super easy to read either in full glaring sun light to sparsely lit spaces, thanks to it reflective ePaper tech.- I have completely turned Off my backlight to save battery and it never bothered me, the watch face is always visible!!!- For those tricky situations when you are stuck in bathroom at night and current goes off, it has you covered with its backlight. ;)- Health and sleep tracking.- This is the only health watch I have used that detects sleep no matter when you sleep, be it day or night - now this statement comes after using Samsung GearFit1, MiBand and Moto 360. All of which I own and have failed to register sleep, specially if you are a nocturnal creature and do not sleep before 1 or 2 am.- Beautiful animated UI and Watch faces ( Mario, PacMan etc etc...).- It has classic looks and blends in well, specially Pebble Grey and Pebble Steel.- 3rd party Apps ( including Go Pro Hero 3 & 4 remote support)- Water proof etc etc...CONS:- Colours look a bit washed out, specially if you use backlight... The colors are reasonably rich and contrasty with out the back light. But to me this is not an issue, and rather I find it to be it's unique differentiating character that give the face a retro look.- Average battery life... Given the ePaper display (same as Kindle) I expected it to last quite a bit longer, specially with auto light and backlight fully Off, but no matter what I try, the battery only lasts barely a week.- Since Pebble & Co. is no more, It will be officially dead in an years time... And No warranty out of the box.- No heart rate sensor (for Pebble Time). Now people will say many things and may even judge your intellect for buying a dying watch... But hey! It's your life and your experience... Enjoy it while it lasts... ;)

A mixed bag - good features for the price, but let down by the little things
The Pebble Time is an interesting smartwatch. For the price, the functionality is great and the long battery life is a real boon, but it is let down by some hardware quality issues, software issues and inconsistencies.Hardware wise, the biggest issue is the bezel and glass. It is very soft and easily scratched. My watch face was very scratched within a few days despite being very careful with it. Shamefully, Pebble won't sell any spare parts, so despite iFixit finding a relatively easy way to replace the front, it is not possible to source a replacement. I also have problems with the connection to the charging cable - it has to 'dock' into a small recess on the back of the watch body, and this recess is prone to collecting dust and detritus which then prevent the cable from engaging fully. This isn't helped by the band and watch back material being quite 'sweaty' on the skin in warm conditions, so the detritus sticks well in the recess.Software wise, I've had issues with the battery indication. The watch often 'sticks' at a given battery percentage so will stay on for example 80% for days before dying completely without warning. It will also at times jump instantly to 100% when connecting the charger and then refuse to charge without restarting the watch. This does seem to have improved with the last couple of firmware updates so hopefully this might have been fixed now. Finally, the software is a bit inconsistent - they tend to change a lot with each firmware update. It's great to have new features regularly, but the regular changes in UI and appearance are a bit annoying. I;ve had this since April and I've already had three majorly different UI and appearances. As a functional product, on the whole, it is good. But it is lacking in polish and the wow factor of Android Wear and Apple Watch. Despite being colour and having more features, I think the Time is an inferior product to the classic Pebble which seems to be more robust and reliable.

In nero e beige . Elegantissimo. VI DO UN CONSIGLIO PRATICO: installate sullo smartphone BLACKBERRY HUB. Chi come me usa il BB da tempo sa cos'è, per gli altri vi dico che è tutto il vs mondo di notifiche racchiuso in un'app pratica, funzionale, ordinata. Lo installate sullo smartphone e potete far sincronizzare il Pebble anche solamente con quella. PAM! tutto a posto.

Ottimo dispositivo
Ottimo smartwatch. Durata della batteria 4 giorni. Meglio di come si presenta nelle recensioni on line. Software ben fatto.
