My go to illustration paper
After trying several different marker papers from different companies I gave this one a go. It is now my go to paper for illustrations. I have used pen and ink on this as well as alcohol markers. Both work very well. No feathering of the markers or ink. There is a little bleed thru if you are working the same area over and over. Otherwise this paper holds up incredibly well. Smooth blending with markers is what truly sold me on this paper. My very first sketch pad back in 1990 was Borden and Riley and I have always found my way back because their products are of great quality.

My favorite paper so far.
I've used this paper before and keep ordering it because I love it. I use a variety of pens (Micron, Prismacolor, etc.) and the ink glides on beautifully. It can smudge for a few seconds afterwards, but when it's dry it is vibrant and keeps the black line that doesn't fade even after erasing pencil lines. I have a few alcohol based markers that I'm trying to get the hang of and I will say that I don't trust them not to bleed through the paper so put something underneath. It can ruin the next page. Also, I prefer the version with the spiral top because when you fold this one over the previous page comes apart at the glued area so you can't keep all your work together. It is easier to make copies this way so whatever is most important for your needs.

Will not order it from here again
The paper does not lay flat. The entire pad of paper has waves in it and must be a 2nd. I can’t use it for my client work. Not worth my time to return so I will use it for practice and not order it from here again.

Love it as a fountain pen artist!
This paper is excellent for doing drawing with fountain pens. Very thick so zero bleed-through, very smooth so no problem with fibers clogging my nibs, and extremely microscopic minimal feathering if feathering even ever happens (depends on the ink). I wish it were a bit smoother/less absorbent to allow for more sheen to come through, but you'll still see quite a lot of shimmer when an ink has that like with J. Herbin Stormy Grey. Overall love this paper very much!

It's just too good!
It's intimidating! I'm not an artist, just a doodler but I'd heard these papers were really smooth and a dream to work with in pen. I mostly use Micron, Staedtler and Pitt pens and wow.... drawing is smooth and fluid, no bleed. The paper also takes colored pencils pretty well but not heavy duty. I use Prismacolor pencils and paint thinner to blend colors and this paper can handle a few layers decently. Blending chalks look fantastic on this paper as well.

Feathers, bleeds and arrives warped.
This is the only professional paper I've ever used that causes my steadtler pens to feather out. Unbelievable, especially since this paper is touted as bleed proof and ideal for pen and marker. Markers do in fact bleed through too… badly. Also, the pad came warped, and so did the replacement. What a joke.

My Go-To paper
This is my favorite drawing paper for pen and brush work. I like very much that it comes in various sizes. It's a bright white, smooth tooth finish, with very little flecking. Perfect for original drawings but also for reproductive work. Paris Paper For Pens 11X14 I use it for my calligraphy as well as for drawing. Included are two examples of my work, so you can see the quality of line I get.
