The size of the board and pieces are just right. The color scheme is very easy on the eyes. The board and pieces are of good quality. The pieces stay on the board nicely. I am happy with this chess set and I highly recommend it.

Really nice quality, especially for the price. The magnets are strong enough to keep the pieces sturdy but not so strong that they grab other pieces when you move them (have seen this with some other sets). The size is good too, not too small but not huge either.

Looks great, perfect size for portability and visibility, magnetic, pieces feel and look good. Would definitely buy again if needed. The only way it would be better is if it had a real wood playing surface but then it would need to cost double.

For under $20, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this magnetic portable travel chess set. The board has a beautiful glossy finish that looks much more expensive, and the inclusion of an extra pair of queens is a rare bonus at this price point. Plastic pieces, while expected, grip the board firmly and mimic the feel of a weighted piece. Overall, this set is an incredible deal that offers great value for both kids and adults.

Will order again. The board looks like wood but is a sturdy plastic. The pieces stay on the board even when turned upside down. Got these boards for new Chess Club members a Kindergartner and a 1st grader. Great board for any age to start with.Thanks
