3.5mm Smartphone TRRS Headset to TRS Headphones Adapter (Removes The Microphone Channel)

Made my headset much more stable in a standard stereo/TRS headphone port.

Needed this to convert a 3-pole jack on my new tv to a 4-pole cable that I use to connect to my headset. Worked like a charm and would definitely buy again if needed.

This guy was a win win for me. First win - I was having problems playing music from my TRRS Android smartphone using a TRRS earbud headphones w remote/mic. The sound was lowering, shutting off and skipping songs for no apparent reason. Then I could not get any sound out of the smartphone. I thought my smartphone was haunted and dieing. So I switched playing music to an older smartphone and discovered it did the same thing..... no sound. That was really bizarre. So I tried the headphones in a Win 10 PC that was setup as headphones only (w/o mic) and they started working. So I got one of these TRRS to TRS adapters, and for now the headphones seem to work ok. Just no remote or mic, which I am ok with. Second win - I got a new set of the same TRRS headphones and they work ok as is plugged directly into the smartphone. I also tried the new set with this adapter cable, and the sound is definitely louder and seems more clearer without any adjustment to the sound level on the smartphone. So heck with the remote/mic. I would rather have better reliability and sound quality and let whoever is calling me on my cell go to VM. The price is right, and the profile is perfect as to not add much additional bulk to the headset cable. And I ordered a second adapter to have just in case.

This product performed exactly as described out of the box. Good sound and stereo in headphones (with TRRS plug) into TRS jack in speakers. NOTE: Also ordered a different extra adapter which came in a set of three which was a total failure ("Riqlorod TRRS to TRS Adapter Cable sold by 3C Cool Mall #B07HF2WN8D). None of the 3 adapters in this set worked...at all...Bubkis! Buyer beware. I will review this other product when Amazon sends me a request.

Worked great adapting a pair of Sennheiser headphones with microphone using a 4 conductor male plug (TRRS) to a Pioneer mixing board headphone jack designed to accept a standard headphone plug (no microphone) with 3 conductors (TRS). Also worked connecting to a standard laptop headphone jack (TRS).

Who'd a thunk it? I worked perfectly after much time trying to jerry-rig a connection this little puppy just plugged in and everything is working perfectly.

This item worked for about two hours. After that could not get it to work again. After troubleshooting by connecting my mics using another adapter I confirmed that this adapter was defective. Maybe the one I received just wasn’t good, but I cannot recommend it to anyone.

This does exactly what it is supposed to do. I have a gig where the performer has a 1/8 TRRS male plug that I need to convert to a 1/8 TRS Male plug. I also use it for converting the plug on a headset from TRRS to TRS for plugging into my old MP3 player. Works great. No loose fitting or shotty audio connections. Basically, it is an easy way to drop out the "MIC" function from the original source when not needed.
